Is it smart to get atomiswave right now?

i am buying a atomiswave mobo+demolish first for $260 shipped and i figure thats a pretty sweet deal..since none of the atomiswave stuff has been emulated..is it smart to get one right now knowing that the selection of game is limited but Knights of Valour Seven Spirits is convincing me to warrant the purchase? for you atomiswave owners, are you satisffied with the expensinve hardware and limited game it offers?

I want an AW as well (though I'd want one Consolized like Amano Jacu's) but the way I understand it is that few distribs will sell the games separately from the whole hardware/system. If this is true (and it was awhile back) it's not worth it. It already has more games for it than the Crystal System ever did, but that's not saying much. While many have ragged on it, I have a feeling I'd like Demolish Fist and Dolphin Blue can't be as bad as many say it is... at least I hope not. I just have a bad feeling the AW will go the route of the NEO:GEO in that all of the innovation in multiple genres will not be widespread and it'll end up yet another system to showcase aging w. $BLINGED out "Vs. Fighting". :annoyed:

I say yes its worth it. This is the second time I have had an Atomiswave. This time I am not getting rid of it. I just got done playing KOV & Dolphin Blue. I also like using it not only in my cabs but now I have a LCD tv that has an VGA and I can play it in high rez. :buttrock:

I am going to have to add to lill-c's comments and say yes! the Atomiswave is a kick ass MOBO and worth the money. I only have KOF Neowave but I have Dolphin Blue,Demolish Fist & Guilty Gear X Ver 1.5 on the way and I am stoked! :buttrock: A system is worth the cash to me if a game I really love comes out for it! SST is due out soon and thats simply a must have for me! I have every SS Home Cart and I plan to follow the series to any platform it goes to :buttrock:

Atomiswave kit for $250? is it just me or did the prices go down by alot? I wanted one a while back but I couldn't afford it.

now maybe the time to consider an AW again.

I need to get an Atomiswave mobo but I don't know what AW cart to get with it & I want to get it consolized to play on my TV. Also I got to get a couple of 5-buttion joysticks or controllers too. :drool: :cool:

i can well afford 250 dollars as i wont mind paying that even if there is only like 4 or 5 games i want for it as thats still 4 0r 5 more games to be played

when i was looking for one just over a week ago the cheapest i saw was 650 dollars with a game

Is there any truth in the rumor this hardware will be retired soon in favor of a more powerful system that is VERY close on the horizon

I saw an Atomiswave with a Dolphin Blue cart for $365.00 buy it now price on ebay. Is that to much to spend?. :conf: :cool:

the mobo should be under $200 and Dolphin blue can be found for $100 .

yup, but I got my naomi setup because of it. The AW isn't too expensive either, so I can always get back into it if something really interests me down the line.

I'm waiting on Dolphin Blue now, but Demolish Fist really is as bad as people say....when you first play it, you thinking GREAT nice graphics, nice combos, cool specials....but then by the 3rd lvl it is dragging soooooooooooo much.

I've been through it a couple of time doubt i will play it again.

Dolphin Blue kicks ass.... Demolish Fist is ass.

Actually Demolish Fist is ok if you are into the mind numbing button smashing with repeating combo's.

I am also looking for a good place to buy some Atomiswave games here in the states.

agreed. u can get a mobo and demolish fist for pretty cheap from him....
