Hey Guys,I just got my copy of KOF neowave for my Ps2.I have not played the AW version so I don't know what's missing.I would like to know the difference between the 2.I know there's people here that have played both.

thanks...But the review that he offers does not go into details.What I mean is are all the frames there?Does it play faster or slower than the arcade version?Would you say it's better than the arcade ,the same or worst and why?

Can't help you there man. I still haven't found an arcade that has an AW upright with Dolphin Blue or Demolish Fist on it let alone Neo Wave or NGBC.

Breaking news: I downloaded this game twice (in CD and DVD format) and it just doesn't work in my PS2... :crying: Damn sony hardware... I wanted to compare it to the original AW game... :envy:

Sorry, I couldn't compare the game to the arcade version since I've never played it and only got to see it once when it first came out last year.

From what I can tell, it's got to be a close port if not a perfect one. Just remember that if you're going to compare it to the arcade, change the graphic style to "arcade" from "normal" in the options.

do the sprites have a filter over them in the arcade version?

i have the filter turned to type 6 (no filter)

i love neowave, i need an atomiswave system now :loco:

My shitty modded ps2 can't play original non-PAL games... And I already own the original AW game. Still this is no justification (like I need it anyway), but I just wanted to compare the two of them.

No problem man.Can blame you know.I don't think there's anyplace in PR that has an AW.I bought an AW with the Neowave but I have not received yet,so I can make the comparison.Mine is actually a copy and it works like a charm on my moded Ps2.

I'm sure there's has to be someone in the community who has played them both !
to compare.

It's strange how no one out there has posted a comparison yet. Maybe they all have already moved onto NGBC. :)

You got the solops2 1 right? works O.K on mine, my ps2 is NTSC Jap modded, not sure which chip though.

I really love the filter set to 1 and focus to soft. IMO it does wonders for the sprites. They look so much better to me. So far I really love Neowave and can see it becoming my fav KOF.

Played a crap load in the arcade. Waiting for the xbox version.

Yeah, the filtering really helps the sprites. I like to use filter 2; 1 is a bit TOO blurry. I only use soft focus on when not playing on my component video TV.

ah .... KoF I'll also really love this filter set to 1 and focus to soft. IMO it does wonders for the sprites. They look so much better to me. So far I really love Neowave and can see it becoming my fav KOF.
