eh, the 19 inch monitor, price and layout are all a bit of a turn-off if you ask me. Did you ask what kind of shape the monitor is in?

IMO

Since Pick-up is an option ..I'd buy it for $200.00.
the 2 slot and Games alone is worth over $200.00..shoot for that stuff alone I might even go $300.00
Worst comes to worst if you get it for $200.00..and don't like it you could piece it all out and sell it making more then you spent.
Shoot,I spent $15.00 each on two Bust A Move Large Marquees..One is NOS(in paper) the other is Used/nice..
I'm not going to say I'm fond of the Button layout but it's playable..like the SVC Chaos cabs 4 button layouts...the white buttons well..
Since the CP is fairly square I think a sheet of metal could be added/made with a new layout, then put on a new cp overlay..

I'd paint the cab all black and put in a Red MVS Large Marquee..

That's a pretty horrendous looking cab, of course this is based
on my collecting standards.

lol, yeah, it is pretty bad. With those games and the motherboard, $200 would be a great deal IMO. Shoot, you could get a better control panel and give it a paint job and it would be great!

check it out...I got this cab for $100 and fixed it up and now look...pretty nice, imo. That cab could be cool with a new CP and a paint job.

IMO, get it if you are down for some sanding, maybe patching, primer, paint, and buying a neo control panel off of ebay or something....you could have a damn nice cab and a good set of games.

Again, just a matter of if you are willing and able to put in the work and time on this.

The deal as a whole has potential to be a great one. Pickup is always good, but only if you don't have to rent a truck ;)

Wookie,

He's a good guy...

I got my Cab from him....

He ended his auction early for me....

I called him but never meet him because the cab was being stored at his brother in law's house.

He's an opp or collector or something like that.

i asked him to take more pics of the monitor and he updated his auction with them. it looks real nice. im going to call my buddy up and see if i can borrow his truck to hall this bad boy out. if he lets me, im doing a max bid of $300. i might go a little higher, it all depends. but i really want this. ive wanted a cab for so long. my only problem is that i am completly and utterly clueless when it comes to fixing these guys up. i mean i would LOVE to change the button layout but i wouldnt even know where to start honestly guys. but i still like it, it comes with some really good games and not a bad deal at all. its very rare to find a cab in this area.

That's better than the Control panel on the System I bought from him.

You could probably build/buy a new CP from scartch for it pretty easy...

YGPM....

yeah, definitely possible to build your own...you could just use wood and Happs parts.

Honestly, I don't think that cab would look too bad with just the control panel. I also think a black monitor bezel (which can be found for cheap on ebay) would look a lot better with that wood contact paper look. But that's just imo :)

Go for it!! and good luck!

Depending on how you feel about woodgrain, I think it's a great deal. A cab like that with carts at an OP auction would fetch you well into the $300-$500 range.

You can always peel the woodgrain off and do a black laminate. It's a somewhat time consuming job, but you can pick up the sideart on the cheap.

The button layout stinks if you're not the type that likes the 2+2 format. I don't mind it, but most people do.

Keep in mind, it's a converted cab. The insides are an unknown quantity. It could be decent, it could be a total mess. Conversions are a tricky animal and you'd do well to learn soldering, correct wiring diagrams and basic upkeep. If you take care of it, it'll give you years of fun.

If you need any help with the cab or questions, let me know. I'm sure I could help you.

I bought this cab. I wish I had known you were bidding on it. You drove my bid up like $200, lol. You should be happy you didn't win it though. It's obviously a conversion, and it's a mess. The select game button doesn't work. That's because it wasn't wired up. There is no coin box. The coin slots don't work correctly with either coins or tokens. They are also wired backwards. A credit on the left slot registers for player 2. The Bust-a-move marquee was chopped at the top to fit the marquee holder, and it doesn't even fit well. There are numerous screws missing. I think the CP is held on by two screws. He used a standard JAMMA harness, a crappy one nonetheless to wire it. The monitor power wire was continually falling off since he used two mismatched molex connectors. The video wires to the monitor were twisted off and duct taped together. I e-mailed him telling him that I would have to replace the JAMMA connector with a proper one from Bob Roberts, and he didn't respond to my e-mail. The good news is that the games are in good shape, I picked it up locally, most of the stuff will eventually be fixed, and that's about it.

Well, the guy buysmost of his machines broken and fixes them. Although I only had brief contact with him, he seemed like a nice guy. It just irks me that he didn't respond to my e-mail. Still, he's local, so can't say I wouldn't buy from him again. The savings compared to shipping cabs is hard to beat :-( Meh.
