Okay. Here goes...

I have a 1 slot mvs. I have a Sony RGB monitor (pvm-1910) that also has scart.
Here is my plan of action:
Bulid controls (simple), wire up a JAMMA harness for the neo, hook up to a power supply, and then get some connectors to wire into the RGB jacks.... Now I have two questions.
1: is what are the best connectors to use for the RGB? Also, is there any reason I should use the scart instead? I don't think so, but people seem to mention scart a lot around here...
2: Where can I get a good power supply and which one is best?

Thanks! and forgive my noob-ness.

(edit to correct that it is a PVM 1910...)

Does the set have any alternative RCB input terminals, if not, SCART is fine.

regarding the psu, get one of these

If I were you, i'd wire my mvs to a vga connector (Radio Shack) and buy a standard HD15 to 5 BNC cable from ebay ($4.99).

I'm certain your monitor has RGB via BNC (mine does).

Power supply? Seach Jameco.com or get a big ugly PC psu. I have Jameco SC200 table top psu.

Edit:
Are you certain it's a scart connector or VTR?

Hmmm....
Some do come with scart.

Are we talking running a vga monitor here ?

?

We're talking RGB. If the monitor has BNC connectors, I would buy a VGA to BNC cable and wire his SuperGun/Consolized mvs to a female vga connector and connect it that way, for the sake of simplicity and the fact he's more likely to find another RGB monitor in the USA with BNC connectors, rather than scart. Just incase.

Edit:
The large, separated, R/G/B/H/V connectors are called BNC connectors.

One thing to remember is that although the euro and japanese 21 pin scart plugs look identical they are wired differently inside so you would need to know if it was designated as a jap or euro monitor.

I know there are quite a few SG makers over here in England who use these boards and would be able to help you making an RGB lead for the scart socket. All this crap about going through vga boxes and stuff is a waste if you can go and take your signal direct from the SG to the monitor.
