alright, i'm going to mod my dc joystick for use with my xbox. (svc chaos, kofmi, etc. no not roms, my box isnt modded)

now.

should i do it all in one and have two cables coming out of it? (i intend to keep dc functionality.

this is the most compact, but more difficult. especially if i want to mount the pcb in place (rather than taping it) and would require making a hole for the xbox cord as well as making an opening for the xbl communicator (of course i could keep it all internal, and just have a headphone port and a little button.

or should i completely gut my dc stick, and just slap a db15 cable on it, and make convertor boxes. this would be much easeir, but more work involved. i could make different external boxes to plug the db15 connector into. this offers a wide range of options including neo/jamma useage, as well as possibility for other convertors in the future.

any thoughts/opinions?

If you have the time and patience, go with the last option. More time consuming, but much easier. Easier to trouble shoot, if you run into problems. This is just my opinion.

If possible post some pics of the project, or the final project.

I did my DC stick about two years ago. I used the a 15pin D connector by the original lead then tapped signals off the vmu board so i could keep DC functionality.

I made a cable to plug into the stick to use on my supergun but when not in use, unplug it all and just have the original dc lead left.

If you want some pics to get an idea i'll post some up
