As far as I know, the only members here that have tried it are supergoose79, D-Lite and MKL, you might try to contact them. Anyway I don't see why can't you just use a supergun, as most likely it will actually finish being less trouble.

Thank you.

I've done one Atomiswave and may finish one for myself (started, but...). It is a pretty unpleasant experience, mainly due to the size constraints in the case. The one I did was a specific request and an experiment for both of us. I wanted to try and he wanted to see.

BTW, RGB or other video options? Just curious.

Kenny was considering trying one. Don't know if he did or not.

If you were to make one again Dean, around how much do you think it would cost in all using RGB?

So,It's pretty fair to asume that there's nobody willing to perform this mission.I Can only imagine what a pain in the ass it must be.But I guess in the long run there will be someone crazy enough to do this regularly for the right price of course.I believe that we are missing a response from MKL.I would like Kenny's opinion on the matter.I just have to wait and see.

I agree with the Europe thing, it makes sense. But you just can't not be a prick.

look at the pics. it's a fact. his baseplate > your baseplate. his joyports > your joyports. his power switch > your power switch ... deal with it.

I do think his looks nice. I'd love to see the baseplate, since there are no pics of it shown.

Believe me Falk, I definitely appreciate the work you and MKL and others do. What I don't appreciate is the fact that you take every possible shot that you can. For once I'd like you to admit that perhaps some of what I do is pretty nice. You've been doing this stuff for several years and I've only been at it a year or so. Yeah, I've learned from others, but I hardly just copy what people do.

i didn't say your's sucked. i just said that his looks better and it really does. maybe the fact that you didn't notice his aw's baseplate is the key here ...
i mean he's not the first who modded the base, but he was the first to put feet on it to make sure that the fan can suck enough fresh air in.

some of your things do look ok for what they are, but i know you can do better.
well ... and some things you came up with in the past few moths really did look strange. a thing that really cracked me up was the genesis' power led, tho.

An NTSC encoder takes RGB video and encodes it to a NTSC format that we Americans can use with our Tv's. Such as Composite video, S-video and Component video.

Three popular choices are:

JROK Composite and S-Video

R2N Composite and S-Video

NeoBitz Composite, S-Video and Component video

The Genny power LED ain't my best idea ever, I'll give you that. Believe it or not there are people that have requested that, so I have made some like that. And for sure the handheld supergun was not my prettiest thing. Was only meant to be functional.

Truce.

I can't understand, what should be so difficult to mod an atomiswave? I mean it has a jamma connector where may follow everyting from, I guess it's straight foreward somehow like to mod a MVS, and should be done in a few hours...

No, it's not, because there's hardly any room inside to fit all the wiring and connectors. A MVS is basically out in the open.

You have apparently never seen the inside of one.

If it were that easy this thread would not exist.Mind you that the few who have done it,don't want to do it again.Try reading more about the AW or ask the members who actually own one consolized.

do you think that you could fit the ATW PCB into a dreamast?

That would be tight...

Just cut out the area below the CD flip top.

Can fit the AW in a Dreamcast. Plus you really need to line up the cart well with the slot.

There's plenty of room under the board, but that's not the problem. It's between the board and the top case that is way way too tight.

Don't use a JROK. Doesn't work. Go with the R2N or NeoBitz. Any AD72X chip.

why shouldn't the jrok work? I mean I guess there's no difference in converting the RGB to svideo like at a MVS...

Amano, what do you think is the worth of your consolized AW? and what would it be worth to pay for a used not-consolized one?
