Are there any good X-Box pads?

The regular X-Box pad sucks, while I tried that SF one and it sucks. The D-Pad doesn't do shit, yet the regular pad is better which is sad.

I bought the SF pad and it does indeed suck. It doesn't recognize diagonals worth a shit. Honestly, for fighters at least, the big duke is the best the Xbox has to offer I think. If you're playing me online, that's what I'm using. I've played with it so much that I'm just used to the damn thing.

I just use a PS2 pad with an adaptor. Its D-pad is perfect for beat 'em ups, especially for those (like me) who hate sticks.

Magicbox + Saturn pad, all the motherfuckingway, absolutely perfect for SF3. I use the PS2 Saturn pad, and once in a while the inputs will get all zany (1P switches to 2P) but it's no big deal. An actual Saturn one would probably clear that shit right up as I've heard they are much less fussy than anything else.

Yar.

But a stick is still better. If you don't like big ass sticks, have a custom sanwa built for you. Those can be made pretty small, but are expensive.

I used the PS 2 pad before I got a stick, and it worked pretty well for a pad. Actually I think I'm still a little better with the pad (except for 360 type moves), since I haven't fully adjusted to my stick.

i played SF alpha 3 with a ps2 pad for a few hours. My thumbs were ground into a bloody pulp. How the hell can you use that P.O.S D-Pad for a fighter? :conf:

Is there a way to use the headset if you're using a ps2 - xb adapter?

I don't know about SF alpha 3, but it worked fine when I used it to play SF 3. As for your thumbs - just don't mash the damned thing so hard!

My roommate does the same thing, and gets sore thumbs after about 5 matches.

All I can say is they work for me. It's the only pad I use for non-Neo Geo beat 'em ups. It doesn't hurt my thumb at all and I can pull out any moves on the d-pad. Even 360 motions are a breeze.

Get a fucking job, besides you still owe me 30 for the pad you don't use

You have 3 perfectly good sticks, 2 w/ comp. parts in them--yet you still use "big duke"(Wes). That is why you will be owned by pink Sean forever :kekeke:
