I know that the early Japanese PSP is able to run emulators, but what about launch US versions? Did someone manage to hack them yet? Also, what is the minimum size memory stick needed to run the games?

Evidently you missed all the fun and news :p

Version 1.50 has been broken as well to allow emulator play, though you need to run the PSP emus through a tool first before they get copied to your memory stick.

As for stick size, anyone fully into the emu side is probably running 512MB minimum...

You can run emulators off a 32MB stick. But if your trying to use PSP iso's and some of the cd based games, you are going to need 512MB-1GB. But stuff like SNES and Genesis games don't really need that big of a card.
