I'm looking for that pad material that is cold to the touch, used for electronics.
I've had it on some of my neo-geo boards.
It's maybe an eighth of an inch thick, sticky on one side, and usually black in color.

I've tried googling for it but I don't know any namebrands.
If I search for cooling or cold pads, I get athletic equipment.
If I search for thermal pads, I get those crappy little pads you put between a cpu and heatsink.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about and where I can get some, info would be appreciated.

Go to the Dollar Sote and Get The Double Sided tape. IT works nice.

What I'm looking for is for cooling purposes.
Not really adhesive purposes.

Thanks though.

I don't think that's it either.

The last time I got some of this stuff, it came with a PSX modchip.

It's solid and should come in small cutable sheets.
It's much thicker than the thermal pads used between cpus and heatsinks.
This stuff has some chemical in it that makes it physically cold/cool to the touch.
You put it on the solder side of pcbs to keep small chips and other areas from overheating where fans or heatsinks can't fit or would otherwise be overkill.

I'm pretty sure that it's for insulation and not heat transfer.

Check out post # 20 by Gummy Bear in this thread

http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106346

These are heat shields used inbetween a two board sets hot spots. They reflect and insulate, not actively cool though. ( there would have to be some electro chemical process, John Smith mentioned Peltier cooling , Im not sure thats what we are talking about here ??)

Is it like on the top LHS of the MVH4 below

Are we any closer ?
