Hey everybody...

I'm looking to buy a Cheap LCD to Put in my 2002 Honda Civic.

Initialy, I only plan on putting in a DVD player then upgrading to a Fulll Fleged Computer.

Here's the specs on the Dash:
Height: 4 3/4 in.
Width: 8 in.

Not my car.

I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions for a LCD monitor to use. I know some of you have hacked various PSONE/XBOX/CUBE monitors for various projects.

After Bezel, I'm looking at about 4" high by 7" Wide. I don't want something to Big As I will have to put some buttons/Pots in.

I'm pulling the Head unit and just using an AMP.

I'll be using one of these so I don't Bust up the original for later Car resale:

I'd like something that shows in the dark.

I don't think A psone monitor will work because the refresh rate is lower than what a pc can use

IF I use a PC, I'll be using something with Composite/SVID out.

But D-Lite says that the PSONE screen has a horrible footprint.

I have been seeing LCD screens cheap lately (gamecube one for $49.99 at best buy I think? or was it ps2...)

I think most of these can take RGB, so you can go that route. It's what i'd probably go for.

cheers,

Xenarc 700TS
Lilliput 7" touchscreen

Both of those monitors have a native 800*480 resolution and touchscreen capability to connect to your computer. The Xenarc has 3 composite video inputs in addition to the VGA. I can't say for the Lilliput.
