Interesting, hasn't this also been the case for other recent games?Recap said:Notice how the Sega logo substitutes the Sammy one.

Recap said:PS2 The Rumble Fish and the forthcoming Gulty Gear XX /, but nothing else.
Dallas_Five said:And the new Jojo game i believe?
I got excited there for a second... oh well. Fist of the North Star is cool too.Recap said:Wha? There's a new Jojo arcade game coming? Or you meant "Hokuto no Ken", which indeed I forgot?
Yeah, not to mention the long legs... Araki definitely took a lot of influence from Tetsuo Hara when he created Jojo. Very different than his earlier works like Baoh and B.T. But his work has evolved into something completely unique since the earlier days of Jojo.Dallas_Five said:My bad, those thick eyebrows get me confused every time.
Mark of the Wolves said:Nice. I like to think Sammy doesn't exist in any form anymore.
Recap said:Sammy is doing truly good things for the industry, nevertheless. Thinking that they are devils for killing the Neo or gobbling Sega is somewhat lame, no offense.
Mark of the Wolves said:WTF? Such generalization. I could care less. I'm just pissed because there has been no news about Sammy VS Capcom.

Q-
Eh, that pretty much sums up how I've felt about Kyo for the past 10 years. Falcoon does tend to be a one-note designer, but I've liked a couple of his designs, and I didn't think Ash was so bad.qube said:Too bad Ash is such an uninspired fuckhole design of a lead character. roker said:I blame falcoon (that is who designed him, right?)
Moriya said:Nope, Falcoon only designed the new characters from KOF:MI. The only thing he did in the main series was the artwork for KOF2003.

Boring if they're all like that. So fucking boring. Might as well go back to Ryu/Ken palatte swap and that's it. I do agree that it sucks just as bad when every single character is trying to out-metro each other, but you still need variety.roker said:whoever it was needs to realize it's a fighting game and not a fashion show
KOF fighters should like gritty, tough, and ready to beat the shit out of each other
I think all of them fit the KOF look; it may be that you don't like the KOF look, and wish it were something else. May Lee in particular, I like a lot. She is a great tribute to a great artist, the late Shotaro Ishinomori. Obviously, that's not going to be picked up by a lot of people who didn't grow up with him, but so what? I'm sure when american movies and whatever get exported, not every joke or reference gets appreciated by foreign audiences.roker said:Some of these KOF additions after 98 are sickening, such as:
Hinako, Bao, May Lee, Ash, etc.

And I think people just draw an arbitrary line at '98, as if anything from that game or before is beyond reproach. Are any of the newer characters any more of a ridiculous fashion show than Iori, Chris, Yashiro?? Everybody wondered if Chris was a girl, and Yashiro has hearts on his clothes, for crying out loud. Why complain about one and not the other?
Sure, the New Face team play great, but so do May Lee and Ash. I think May Lee is actually one of the most interesting characters to play as in the entire series (after Vanessa, Ramon, Angel, and maybe a couple others).
Nah, I know what you mean...it just comes down to taste, I guess. Like, I know a shitload of people can't stand Ramon, but I think he's great. Things that many people don't like about him, like his goofy running, are part of what to me make him unique and cool. Yeah, they could have given him a more serious style of running, like Ralf or something, but in my mind, he would be less interesting.roker said:you know what, I really can't explain it
