I have PS2 swap disks to play imports, but I found out they don't work for PS1 imports. So does anyone know if PS1 swap disks work on PS2's?

You can play psx imports and cd-r on the ps2 if you install one of those 8 wire neo 2.2 chips. I think you only need 4 or 5 wires for psx mod, but why not do 8 if you do 5.

cheers,

I have an action replay that was for the PS2 that came with a bonus disc for playing ps1 games with cheats on the ps2. It boots about 80% of all ps1 backups on the ps2! Howerver I would just get an original ps1 off of ebay and the action replay that I have and boot all ps1 backups! Its just more reliable!

Thanks for the info. Times like this is when I regret getting rid of my PS1. I don't play back-ups by the way. I'm all about having the original game. The game I was trying to play was Strikers 1945 II (PAL), I guess I will have to get the Jap PS2 version.
