Greets~

I recently purchased three bad MV-4F's with the plan to hang on to them for spare parts. After pondering them a bit, I was thinking of just trying my hand at repairing them all instead. It looks like someone tried that before me and did a really horrible job with soldering, etc. I was thinking that since I have one good MV-4F (with another on the way), I could just compare the busted ones with the good ones in the hope of diagnosing the problem.

However.. does anyone know if there are schematics available for the MV-4F? I've seen pinouts, but not schematics.

I could also use some pointers from people who have done this before .. well, if there are any, anyway. :kekeke:

Please let me know what you guys think! Thanks.

Regardging schematics for the mvs

After much, in fact years of searching and asking the question, it has amounted to nothing for me. Seems the SNK design engineers involved with the neogeo were sworn to secrecy. They are as rare as rocking horse shit.

I think JKurtz mentioned he may have had a single slot schem and was trying to locate it. Ive done some preliminary drawings of the MVH6 digital audio schematics, if thats the area you are interested in please PM.

The arcade companies that publish their schematics aren't many actually. Most of them don't do it. It's not like SNK is an exception...

I take your point MKL, having said that Im pretty sure there are other SNK board schematics available, but Ive not seen a MVS schem ever.

Well, at this point, I have no information whatsoever other than pinouts. So, any information at all would be helpful.

I'll likely be posting error codes and such soon in an effort to troubleshoot the problem on my boards. Perhaps I can try to document it and write up some sort of troubleshooting doc or something.

... As if I didn't write enough technical documentation at work... Heh. :kekeke:
