NEED HELP!!! Troubleshooting NEW Neo Geo Pocket Color

Well, I just bought one of those packs that come with the system and 6 games and guess what? My Neo Geo Pocket Color WILL NOT TURN ON!!! AGH! I put the lithium battery in, followed by the 2 AAs, and the power light constanlty blinks on and off, slowly, but constantly. I thought this may mean the batteries it came with were bad, so I bought new AAs AND a new Lithium battery, and guess what? It fixed nothing! I also get a slight hissing from the machine's speaker when I turn the volume all the way up, and those are the only signs of life it shows. Am I missing something obvious? Or is this a damn defective unit? I sent the seller an e-mail regarding this but want to know if anyone had a quick fix so i can avoid a PITA exchange, and get to gaming! TY guys x10 if you can help me solve this!

Wouldn't make a difference.

It still should boot up into the system settings.

Assuming the batteries are all setup right, the unit sounds defective.

It sounds to me that you have a defective unit my friend, I know it's not what you want to hear, but you should contact the seller and tell him that after you had replaced the system with new batteries, the screen does not turn on and the speaker does not give the familiar system startup jingle.

I've tried both with and without a game, upside down, right side up, on my roof, outside, on my deck, in the bathroom, in the closet, in the kitchen, etc etc, but seriously, I tried with both batteries, and without the lithium in, and nothin'! This sucks like whoa!

Contact the seller or take the console back to the store for a refund. Let us know how it turns out
