What's wrong with this monitor?

Recently while I was away, my dad moved my cab to the other side of the room to fit a new couch in it's place. Now when I boot up the machine there seems to be a burn on the top left side of the monitor and slightly on the top right. Prior to him moving it, there was a slight burn in the bottom left but now that has gone, which is strange.
When I opened up the machine to inspect, I noticed that he hadn't removed the mobo when he moved the cab and as a result, the mobo had slid back up against the monitor and was resting up against it. Could this have caused a burn of some sort? And is there any way to fix this or lessen the problem? Perhaps it's not even a burn. Need help. :(

burn ? are you talking about the colour purity error (blue patch top left)

If so the crt may need degaussing.

Check if the cab has a degauss button (mine does). If so, I'm sure that'll do the trick.

They're both right.

It looks like it just needs a good degaussing.

Degaussing Coil

If your monitor doesn't have a degauss button, you can get a degaussing coil off of ebay for around 20 bucks (if not less), easy to use, and does the trick nicely.

Where would a degausing button typically be located in a cab..?

Most cabs that have them are in the PCB area.. Somewhere near the test/service buttons.

My degauss button is on my Power supply right below the test switch

Cool, I didn't think it was burn because as I said, the colour patch had moved. I'll check out the degauss.

Thanks guys.
