hey i would just like to say out loud that my neogeo n00b self got a neogeo home console for the first time :buttrock:

it looks so cool :drool_2:

serial number is 180906
and its a JP system

the gold logo is in awesome condition!

now i fully trust JapanGamesNow.com

Have fun man! Neo is a great system with some of the most addictive and hardcore games you will probably ever experience. I recommend you go and grab KOF 98, Fatal Fury Special, & Last Blade* next you will just love last blade, it really is a good game* Stick to the jp releases, the prices are alot more reasonable.

Strangely I like the KOF 96 english, but the jp spine totally destroys it.

I recommend Aof3 and SS3 but read some reviews first.

if you haven't played it yet, then you might not like it

it's old school, but you could see things progressing

damn good old school too, the first game to make SNK a solid fighting game company in my opinion (no disrespect to FFS)

to me, it's on par with Street Fighter II Turbo (which I regard as best in the II series)

Yes many reguard it highly but i never got to into it. I prefer the later SS's like 4 and 3. But if you find it for cheap that's reason enough to pick it up.

Man the neo console changed my whole gaming experience, no more ports!!!! Have fun. If you can just buy all the cheap neogeo games you can find. All of the old fighters are excellent. Fatal Fury 1, special, realbout, Kof 94, 95, Art of Fighting 1 and 2, SS1 and 2. Just get as many as you can, pure gaming bliss!!!

a goal of mine for my neo is to get all the AOF's FF's and KOF's and the SS's
i will start with the cheap ones and slowly go up to the more expensive ones.

Welcome to the family, SS5S and KOF 03 are my recommendations. Good luck with AES, crazy expensive. I went the brokeass option, MVS :glee:

lol i was considering going MVS and consolizing one with a supergun but ive always wanted to have the home console, so i went AES, MVS did cost a bit more with the supergun included.

You should definitely pick up a copy of Samurai Shodown II.

Some may say that the series progressed after that, but personally I think that's a matter of taste.

IMO, it's a timeless classic just like SSF2T.

Also, I think that the AI in SS2 is really spot-on. Tough enough to give you a workout, but beatable and not cheap like some others in the SNK lineup ... *cough* AOF2 *cough*.

Oh, and congrats on your system.
