Would you like to see another die hard? I think the franchise has some life left in it but i'd hate to see it crash and burn. As we all know hollywood likes their sequels.

Didn't much like 2, and didn't really like 3, but they've played 3 on cable so many times it's kind of grown on me. I just really don't care. I know I wouldn't bother seeing a 4 in the theater, but I might grow to like it on USA network eventually.

I don't really see the Die Hard series as the crown of fine moviemaking. I just see it as an action series with a bit more brains than something like XXX, so I'm fine with a sequel. It's all pretty entertaining to me.

I hope this next film isn't a turd.

Die Hard still is one helluva action film if you ask me.

In all honesty the last thing I want is Sam Jackson (hell be it as Coach Carter, Mace Windu etc. the man plays himself in every film... I love watching him be a bad ass but it does get old after awhile) brought back, nor do I think he should have a sidekick. The movies were about how John McClane just has bad luck at being at the right place at the wrong time and, because of his virtuous nature he can't back down. If they're going to give him another sidekick, then I'd rather the DIE HARD series stay dead and buried.

#1> Why it's the truth. Look I've appreciated SL Jackson ever since he did Amos & Andy with Nick Cage, and Loaded Weapon One with Emilio Estevez (I think it was Estevez) all of this long before he played Jules Winfeild in PULP FICTION, and I like him in other roles. But in all fairness he's basically just being his intense self. No it's not neccessarily a bad thing, but at times it can get a bit "been there done that" when watching a film. As Mace Windu I felt he was basically a bald headed Jules who after walking the Earth somehow landed in a galaxy far, far away and WANTED to to have "Bad Motherfucker" engraved onto the hilt of his light saber.

#2> I forgot about that movie. Yes the Shark ate him.

Now in that movie his usual self made sense, though I still prefer Richard Roundtree's take on the character, and it was nice to know the film wasn't a remake since obviously John Shaft was still around pimpin' it in his twilight years. He did the role justice, but as the first movie I ever saw Christian Bale in, him being such a smug asshole was the best part of SHAFT.

You mean like Kane in Kung-Fu?

Really his act gets old but when put in the right role it is still good to see.

Just like Morgan Freeman couldn't fill the "angry black man" role, SLJ could never be versatile enough to not be the bad mother fucker.

nah, big fan of Mr. S. Jackson but it wouldn't be right if he came on a sequel. Maybe, a quick cameo like that guy from that show with that black nerd on it. Dont remember the title, family something.

I think they should make it if it's gonna be good. But rumors going around that this movie will be based on him and his son. And his son might be played by justin timberlake. Shit kinda sounds like hot mess but i ain't gonna judge it until i see it. holla.

I don't really care. It's amazing, because I can't seem to remember if I have ever watched a Die Hard movie. I think I have seen the end of one or two though. I just think "Action" films are a dying breed. They have been replaced by comic book adaptations and foreign movies that have way better stunt action. Then again maybe that's just me.

While I'm always up for a good foreign flick (especially the ubber mind fuck ones) I'd say the fall of "ACTION" movies is part of the problem these days. Today's generations will never understand what we saw in RAMBO, Commando or any of the Steven Segal movies like (Above The Law, Hard To Kill, Out For Justice) etcetera... but while these were all popcorn rock em' & sock em' flicks no doubt, there was something about them that just stood out. You're right gone are the golden days of Golan-Globus Production's like American Ninja or Invasion USA. But I'd rather have that in the box office than the mindless dreck we get of Comic Book stuff. Sure BATMAN BEGINS and Spiderman were good, but I can't say that about 90% of what is being released comic-wise.

THE HULK looked fake, X-MEN was marginally cool, and I can't say I'm too pumped up about Fantastic Four. I mean really where are our Gym Katas and Rambo films now? > and GOD do I hope RAMBO IV becomes a reality and is done in the 80's-early 90's style of pure action. Why would ppl want to see fantastical nonsense (which has it's place) instead of seeing characters who don't neccessarily have super powers or wear costumes, but are from the same world we are in, and find themselves in outlandish but somewhat plausible situations? Personally I didn't give a fuck if Segal could act or not, or if Jean Claude Vandamme could speak English right... I went to see them kick fucking ass. Hell it's even worse when Hollywood decides to make a the occassional Western. They jazz it up with Hip Hop soundtracks and stuff, instead of making some ultra violent spaghetti western like film with style.

BAH!

SO FUCKING TRUE.

I was watching Action Jackson the other night with my cousin and about 15 minutes into it I turned to her and said "they just don't make action flicks like this anymore." And it's not nostaligia talking, its fucking real. I'll never forget the first time that I head TOM CRUISE being referred to as anaction hero. Can you imagine, back in the 80s, someone like Cruise being called an action hero??? At best he would've been some dudes comedy relief sidekick. Pretty boys and metros wouldn't have cut it.

You like barbeques, huh? How do you like your ribs?
