? for those who use Charter Pipeline

I used to work for Charter and back in the day If you ordered pipeine you could split the line and recive the basic television service for free (on the DL ofcourse)
My friends pipeline is working that way now I'm thinking of making the switch from DSL to pipeline. but before I do I just wanted to find out if this is still true for most people.

I'm not positive about the rules and regulations for Charter specifically, but I think most cable companies require that you at least have basic cable in order to receive internet service. That's how it is with Time Warner, and that's how it was with Verizon DSL, so I'm assuming that's how it works with Charter.
