So this coming July, I'll be heading to Syria via Egypt and staying there for about 6 weeks. During this time, I'll be bringing along my huge MP3 player with a keyboard and screen better known as a Dell Inspiron 6000. Since I'll be overseas, it's got me wondering about voltages/transformers/charging and the like.

Any idea as to what exactly I'd need to keep the laptop charged and battle-ready outside of those small plug adapters? I've been looking at this piece...

...and can barely get past the convoluted description as to what it can offer aside from powering my laptop while on Delta (that'll be from LAX to JFK- EgyptAir will be another story). Are there any other viable alternatives to this? Or is there something I'm not considering?

My thanks in advance.
