Is there anyone who knows how I can put a USB adaptor on one of my spare Super Famicom pads?

Yeah, I bought one some time ago. It works great, no slowdown, BUT you can't press 3 buttons at once, this makes the device "cancel out" the 1st of the 3 pressed.

Example: you can't dash-jump-hold x buster in Megaman X series. You have to press A to dash, B to jump and Y to charge the x-buster, the adaptor "cancels out" the 1st of the 3 like I said, so when you are charging, dash-jump, you shoot the gun while not wanting to do so.

Err I hope you guys understand this...

Anyway, this sucks about the adaptor...I don't know if another one doesn't have this problem.

I have one of those adaptors that lets you use a PS2 pad, but the driver is on floppy and my laptop doesn't have a floppy drive. It's also temperamental on XP and installing it is a pain :very_ang:

So if I sum up your request, you want a SFC adaptor that:
Works with USB
Works well with XP
Doesn't get installed with a floppy

Sounds a little hard to find.

BTW, I'm glad to see you're still with us ;)

Nope, just a USB connector put on one of my spare pads. I've seen it done with a Neo Stick, so why not a SFC pad?

It's more difficult to do it with a SFC pad as it sends encoded data as opposed to a Neo stick. The only way to do it I know would involve modding the SFC pad itself and then sacrificing a USB PC pad to build an adaptor.

Looks like I'll have to get in touch with Lik-sang and see what they got, though if it's installed off a floppy, I'm still screwed.

If you have to install it via Floppy, I'm quite sure you can find around you someone with a computer which reads floppy and then you can get it by putting the files on a USB key or buy sending it via e-mail.

Perhaps Lik-sang can even send via e-mail the files if you order one.
