Help building a neo - pc adaptor

Hello, I am a newbie in neo geo scene and I am trying to build an adaptor to use my neo geo cd controller on my pc.
I followed instruction in other threads and I used a pc usb pad to build the adaptor.
Arrows works perfectly, while button are " always on". They seems to be always pressed. What had I mistaken? It's first time I solder and maybe I have solder something not to solder.
Please help!

Thanks for reply. I am quite sure to have soldered pin 8. If i have not soldered it pad would have button always on? Only buttons?

Pin 8 is soldered, checked it twice!
Maybe I misunderstood tutorials?
Each button has a contact splitted in two parts, one is ground, I soldered wires to the other part....
It's a shame, because it works perfectly and it's very cheap, but buttons are reversed :confused:

Just where exactly is that pin 8 soldered? Have you checked if it is wired to a point that has +5V?

In pad I am using for this work I soldered pin 8 to a point were is written 5V, the only other place, except for ground and buttons, is marked '+'
I think I have soldered the right place, haven't I ?

Maybe the buttons of the USB pad use a different common or some crazy junk...
