Everything is in the title. What is the gaming achievement you're the most proud of??

Can be any kind of game or any kind of achievement.

Mine was to be able to get a miracle rank fighting Kain in MVS mode with Gato.

I 1cc'd a shooter called slap fight but the ironic thing is that once you beat it it starts over again only harder ;)

Hmm, that's a damn good question.

Well, here are a few in no specific order:
1) Three straight Memorial Cups in EHM 2004, as well as four in five years.
2) Beating Metal Slug 1 co-op with my buddy, making it the first game I beat on my cabinet (and effectively on the Neo-Geo)
3) Kind of a weak one, but beating the Splinter Cells without killing any enemies (unless forced to)
4) Beating Panzer Dragoon Orta without dying one night
5) Getting my wife, someone who had only ever played an NES and her Intellivision as a youth, interested enough in games while dating to buy a Dreamcast, GBA and a few others. Now married, we both play on my systems but she researches and and buys her own games and wants to play stuff on my cab, etc.

Looking at them, I'd say the fifth one is my greatest achievement, the second one is the most nostalgic and the first one was the most difficult one.

I'm sure I'll remember more later.

#2 ~~ 1cc Viewpoint

#1~~ Finishing Metroid ( NES ). I know, it wasn't really that hard at all to finish, but given my age I felt godlike. My hands were sweating bullets and my chest was pounding while taking on motherbrain for the first time. Sucks I don't get that rush like I did as a little kid.

Me and a guy in the local arcade finishing Sonic Wings 3 on 1 credit in 2 player.
Being the only guy in the arcade to finish Kabuki Klash on Lv8 on 1 credit.
Getting to and beating Geese on AoF2 without losing a round on MVS level.
Doing Zelda 3 in under 7 hours start to finish in one sitting without dying.
Completing Secret of Mana from start to finish in just over 14 hours in one sitting.

Nothing special there I'm afraid :(

I finished Last Blade 2 with Akari on level 6 difficulty (playing on an MVS setup) without continuing and using the SMD as the final attack. Ended up with something like 1.7 million points or something.

I've opened every level and character on Dynasty Warriors 3. I have the 4th weapons for several characters. All this stuff took me easily 50-60 hours of playing. No small feat for "just a beat 'em up."

Most of the time I suck so bad I'm just glad to be able FINISH a game, let alone have a "greatest achievement!"

Even as a kid those feelings were rare for me, but it seems that the games today provide less and less palm sweating action.

I wonder if the kids who play games today have those plam sweating, heart going a mile a minute experiences with games? Maybe it's 'cause we're getting older it doesn't "do it" for us as much any more?

Got to the last boss in 1943 on one credit (then I fucked up and had to use two credits to beat it)
Beat 1943 on two credits ( I fucked up on the 3rd to last stage. 27? Is there 30 Total? All I know is, it takes over and hour to get that far and that's a lifetime for a shooter)
1ccd NES Ninja Gaiden at least three times.
1ccd SNES U.N.Squadren (Area 88) on hard mode.
Beat Mega Man X without losing a life (unintentionally*) while getting all the hdden stuff
*you need to die three times at a specific spot in one stage in order to get the gloves which allow X to throw Hadoken
Beat Super Metroid in 1 hour 24 minutes 22 seconds.

Respect for both dude :buttrock:

I 1cc'd Area 88 on hard years ago, totally forgot about that! Not even gonna try it on 'Gamer'.

That Super Metroid time? I'm guessing that wasn't 100% was it? My best time for that was just under 3 hours, which I'm quite proud of. I'd memorised virtually the entire map. Just bought it again yesterday, so gonna have a bash at it either today or tomorrow.

I came within a hair of finishing the cycle race in Battletoads. I never could beat that game.

Sadly, not much else to report. :(

More recently I managed to finish FF I&II on GBA with a 100% monster collection for each. Plus a 1 lived Darius R (GBA) in hard mode several times.

None worth mentioning. I play for the love of the games, not the challenge.

100 percented SotN (all items, monsters list completed along with all the items they drop, covered whole map, ... etc)

I was the second best player in fighting games in the arcade when I was 10. my big bro was the best and I used to beat him sometimes
