Btw, the manual shows that there's a volume control on the board somewhere.

My SF2 CE board doesn't have one. Am I seeing thigns?

Well the volume adjustment is a white, round knob on the PCB that you can turn. If you have an original capcom PCB, the knob should be located on the bottom board near the upper right or upper left corner (IIRC).
