i too love shitty obscure beat-em-ups. No joking, i really do.

Unfortunately i haven't played this game. No dump = me sad panda.

But i love Japanese originality. How many fucking games have FIGHT at the end of their title? Off the top of my head:

Final Fight (of course)
Violence Fight (one of the best names for a game ever)
and now Big Fight.

Eh, when something works, you go with it i guess.

Violence Fight is coming out as part of a PS2 arcade compilation - fucking awesome!!!

edit: here's another weird unemulated one (korean game):

That first one looks real poor, the the second one doesn't look too bad.

The screens of Big Fight are interesting. 8 playable characters?

Though this dude (boss?) seems kinda weak. Guile + Cody + manic-depressive greek actor - heterosexuality =

This is one genre that really died out...too bad, as I really love beat em ups.

They both look like a blast to play (what beat 'em up isn't?) but that Legend of Heroes game looks especially impressive.

That Legend of Heroes game totally passes off as a Dreamcast title. At the very least, a basic Atomiswave title.
It's apparently five years old and doesn't seem to exist outside of Southeast Asia. Has anyone seen it in action?

Big Fight's inspiration from fighting games seems well-done, even if the game itself looks rather poor.

Woahh!...that looks real messy to me....it reminds me of the early days with the super famicom....when we were flooded with high priced imported crap like this..

That legend of heroes looks like a predecessor to those beat em ups on the IGS. I forgot the names.

Is it just me or does Legend of Heroes look oddly like Mulan, the disney movie? I don't know what it is but something about the characters and some of the locations. :conf:

I too love shitty beat-'em-ups. :)

I picked up a butt-rock-tastic title called "Silent Dragon". This looks like its in the same vein.

It reminds me of the Knights of Valor series, which IGS made. In fact, I would have mistaken that for a game in the series if I didn't know the actual title.

Looks like it might actually have fewer jaggies than KOV: Seven Spirits.

How about we comprise a list of the arcade beat em ups?

My favorite "shitty" beat'em up was gang war. Hilarious, yet strangely fun... at the time. :D

Guardians / Denjin Makai II is FUCKING AWESOME. Seriously, it's got to be the most underrated beat-em-up ever. There's 8 characters and each one has a huge assortment of special moves and combos. It's quite solid, it plays just as well as Capcom beat-em-ups... maybe even better. I highly recommend checking it out in MAME sometime, it rocks.

Now, on the subject of shitty beat-em-ups... anyone played Knuckle Bash? Ahahahaha that game is so wrong (and so screaming with homosexual undertones too)
