Super Gun Sound Question

I have a supergun with the audio connection which goes to the TV via the SCART cable. The supergun has no volume knob. If I had to connect it to a Jamma board which does not have an on board volume controller, will I risk damaging my TV, as the audio signal would be already amplified (I assume that a TV 'expects' audio signal to be pre-amplified...) ? (with the MVS I bypass this problem by keeping the sound volume low on the MVS board volume controller).

Thanks!

you could attenuate the output from the jamma/mvs edge connect using a 10 K and 1K ohm resistor potential divider.
Take the output from across the 1 K.

I don't know what board you're talking about but on some you have to add yourself a volume pot and without it you get no sound.

Ok, if I put a resistor on audio connection in the scart connector, which should I put (no pots) to convert the amped audio into pre-amped audio?

What voltage should pre-amped audio be?

Thanks!

Ideally it needs to be line level which is 1 volt peak to peak

edit:Why not connect a 10K pot across the output, then your done

Is it safe to use my supergun (with no resitence on audio) with an MVS board? Would it be enough to put the audio volume control down on the MVS board?

Thanks!
