Well, as many here know, I've mostly given up my gaming habits but still play from time to time. It seems as though next month has me particularly excited because of a couple games being released.

First, I have Sakura Taisen V coming to the Japanese PS2. Got the demo with ST3 and it's going to be good!

Next up is Mushihime-sama. I've got a thing for vertical shooters, and if this is anything like Cave's past endeavors in the genre, it's going to be good. Oh, and just 'cause I like shooters, doesn't mean I'm good at them!

And last up is Makai Kingdom. Looks like another Nippon Ichi strategy RPG classic in the making. Of course, I'll need to invest in a US PS2 to enjoy it (gave mine to my bro when he moved out of the parents' house. It'll be easier for me to save up $150 than it will him).

So what's coming out in the next couple months that you guys are excited about?

Burnout 4 is the only game I'm really looking forward to at the moment. I like the revamped graphics they've shown thus far, but I'm hoping that they left the gameplay alone (I though that Burnout 3 really had as close to perfect as you can get gameplay).

I'm holding out hope that Burnout 4 will go above and beyond 3 simply because every installment has gone above and beyond the one before it.

NCAA Football 2006

Wot?! :D

Of course, this is tied into my fairly rabid college football obsession. I've been scouring the bookstores for the past month as the Pre-Season mags have been coming out. I tend to read around 10 pre-season mags each summer before the season starts, keeping a few on hand for indepth review as the season progresses.

That's the way I am.

I'm kind of hoping people post some shit that flew under my radar and is worth picking up. I honestly don't check game news any more, I mainly go by postings here and elsewhere when it comes to my game choices. Mushihime-sama being one of the titles I found out because of the N-G boards.

In the coming months? Only Makai Kingdom and Shadow of the Colossus.

November has a shitload of games coming out for the PS2 though:

Dragon Quest VIII
Genji
Megaman X Collection
MGS3: Subsistence
Okami
Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams
Radiata Stories
Resident Evil 4 (no Gamecube :crying: )

Then there's Devil Kings and Soul Calibur III. The coming months will hurt my wallet as far as video games go.

Ibara (Jamma)

Under Defeat looks good, but I don't do Naomi stuff. Unless
it gets a DC release, then yeah.

See, i just have a terrible memory. These are all interesting.

Obviously new Zelda, SMB, and Castlevanias are reasons to be excited. And the Taito Memories game lineup is incredible (best compilation so far?), but are they straight ports or fucked with in some way?

Also Sigma Star Saga, which is a shooter/rpg hybrid i believe.

I can't get too excited about arcade games since i won't be able to play them for a long time, but if i had a cab or supergun i'd be pumped about Ibara if only because of who's making it (and the characters :emb: ).

Sadly, I can't say any game has me really excited at the moment.

I've been in a very old school gaming mood lately, although if any, Conker would top the list.
