SNK Action Figures...

Would it not be great if an American company made some high-quality SNK character action figures? I would be willing to bet that the rights to do so could be purchased for relatively little, compared to some licenses.

We ought to petition a company like ReSaurus http://www.resaurus.com to do so. They have already made Sonic The HedgeHog action figures, Street Fighter action figures, Crash Bandicoot action figures, and I have heard rumours that they are working on some other video game related figures, like Gex and Soul Reaver.

So, what do you think? Should we start bombarding them with emails, demanding SNK action figures?

ReSaurus' Street Fighter II action figures are fairly large as figures go, and they average a $7.00 to $8.00 price in America. Not bad for such a figure, IMO. I am not sure what the Euro is at right now, against the dollar. If all else failed, I am sure you could find some willing SNK fan that would pack up a case of them and mail them to you at cost (not everyone is out to make a profit via cut-throats).

I would bet that more money would be made by ReSaurus on SNK figures than on Gex figures. I mean, geez, GEX?

I would encourage everyone interested in seeing some SNK action figures to contact ReSaurus. Their mailing address is:

ReSaurus Company, Inc.
240 Outerbelt Street
Columbus, Ohio 43213

Their email address is: toybox@resaurus.com

If you do contact them, please be specific about what you want to see, do not just send a three word email saying, "MAKE SNK FIGURES!"

Also, it turns out they have a forum on their website http://www.resaurus.com . If several of us started making noise there about SNK figures, it might help.

I think McFarlane Toys is the way to go. Anyone who has the Metal Gear Solid figures knows what I mean. They're mostly for show though.
I wish for the days of G.I. Joe, and their many articulations. It was great pretend fighting with the many figures. My favorite was battling Snake Eyes with Quick Kick, and the Twins. It would be sweet to see all the SNK fighters complete with accessories, in that form.

Woah, Smoke Ya those figures look pretty damn cool. It looks like almost no articulation though. Then again, that's about what Palisades would have done. They design the figures then a Hong Kong house does the modeling. Check out the Tekken 3 figures. If I had my wish, I would have BBI/Sky Toys do KOF toys. Full 12" with clothes.Their Cy Girls toys are really incredible. Great articulation. I have no idea how to contact them though.

I agree, the McFarlane figures are cool. I have those Metal Gear Solid figures, they have so much friggin detail.
It would be cool to have figures of SNK games, all of them. I like having figures of the games I play.

I have FFantasy8, REvil, MGSolid so far. If only some SNK type figures would come out, that weren't imports.

Or Resin Figures that are all freaky, ie. huge heads and small bodies. Or dont look like them.
I'm talking about all those KOF Resin Kits by the way.
And for that dude that wanted some Vanessa stuff, there is a Resin Kit of her on Ebay. Dont know the exact link so just search for KOF.

I ended up getting some FF8 figures. They were Squall, Seifer, and Zell, my favorite characters (I loved Rinoa, but the figure didn't capture her beauty). They look cool but not as nearly detailed as my MGS figures. I think my Squall is cross eyed. Plus, Zell is as tall as all of them, even though he's only 5'5''. It would have been nice to have the height differentiation. I think the Squall figure is taller than Seifer even though he's 5'8'', and Seifer's 6'2'' - go figure. Now Vulcan Raven towers menacingly over the rest of the MSG cast.

I also have Jin from Tekken 3 but the paint job is lousy.

Well, I was just going with ReSaurus on the basis of what other figures they have done. I have contact information for several other companies as well, so if ReSaurus does not pan out, we can contact the others. Imagine a Samurai ShoDown series, a KOF series, a Fatal Fury series, a Last Blade series. The possibilities are endless.

I frequent a bootleg toy mailing list, and a few months back, while browsing a chinese companies page, I saw some badly done KoF toys. There was Rugal, Terry, and a few others. The link is buried somewhere in my e-mail archives, so I'll look for it when I head over to my parents house.

They had some bootleg KOF figures at the street vendor stand in Hong Kong where I bought my sister her KOF jacket. Hideous, they were....

Actually, since Resauras ahs the SF property, the best chance for KOF is if they do a Capcom vs SNK line. That would be just as good although that could mean fewer SNK figures per batch.
