Try Spysweeper, then install a decent firewall. Oh yeah, be sure to disable Windows Messenger in your registry as well.

Try Hitman pro.

As far as I know the program is only available in Dutch but there's a good manual in English here.

Try the Anti Spyware Beta.

The holy trinity is Spybot, Ad Aware and MS Anti Spyware BETA. Any time I've had an infection, using these 3 programs has cleaned it up. Using just one or the other doesn't work out all the time, and each usually picks up things the others will not.

To beat Kernow to the punch, install Linux and you won't have these problems.

Make sure you download the latest security patches using Windows update. I had a vicious case of t3h spyware/adware/virus combo until I got the latest "malicious software removal tool" from the windows update site.

It seemed odd to me that Windows Update was able to fix what Norton, Ad-aware, and Spybot couldn't, but it worked. I think I got the "Nail.exe" virus (well, actually someone that used my computer got it for me ... ), and I couldn't get it to budge until I downloaded the updates.

Anyway, give it a shot, and then re-run Norton, Ad-aware, and Spybot after that.

I've been using freeBSD all day actually, I'm.. preferring it to slackware at the moment ^_^ which is saying something, .. it just seems so more .. managed.

I told you about Highjackthis.

Post a screenshot of what's showing up, and I'll tell you what to remove.

Yeah, it's the most powerful solution but it's also pretty dangerous. For most people (myself included), it's like giving a hand grenade to a three-year old. Better to just go with the idiot-proof stuff unless you really know what you're doing.
