I was watching the Greatest American crap on Discovery the other day, and when they were talking about George's Bush, who should be there to talk but none other than Elephant fucking Hannity! Evidently he spoke about Clinton, though I bet it wasn't anywhere near as glowing as it was for Bush.

While I'm no fan of Foxnews (even though I work for them now), Skynews is hilariously worse. Think Foxnews with an international twist and none of the scrutiny FNC faces here in the US.

Plus its also owned by Murdoch.

Word, I could care less about which media outlet is biased which way, what I care more about is the fact that journalism has ceased to be about keeping the government in check and has become either a scrote-petting zoo for politicians or entertainment for the stupid.

Murdoch is a shareholder and not the sole owner. Sky News is nowhere near as bad as Fox News. I watch Sky every day and if that shit was anything near being as bad as Fox, I'd have turned that shit off years ago.

I'm a liberal murderer-coddler (because I don't want to execute them, so I fondle them, apparently) so I know I'm not fucking watching any right wing shit for more than two minutes before puking.

Besides, I fail to see the hypocrisy, as I grow older I've moved more to the center. I've simply changed my mind on some economic policies that I find more feasable now than I did when, say, I was a freshman in college. At least I've actually been forming distinct public policy opinions on my own while you smugly denounce others for theirs.

...FNC is always legitamate news, but sometimes unscrupulous contributors decide to give it a distinct point of view. But not every producer, editor, and reporter feels the need "balance" a story.

No news outlet is as blatantly biased as fox news. They purposely keep strong liberals off of their airwaves. In fact, I saw a video of Hannity telling one of his guests exactly what to say during a commercial break.

They are all about misinforming the public and the other news outlets are afraid of them so they won't call them out.

Here's the irony of the media right now. The government is performing the checks of the media, not the other way around. Newsweek made their story about the Gitmo people desecrating the Koran and the White House went crazy about saying how irresponsible the report was. Then a couple weeks later a bunch of other reports come out saying similar things. Basically, Newsweek told the truth, but since it was critical of the administration, the government attacked them.

I think the government is on a slippery slope with what seems to me to be deliberately misinforming the public and a weakened media which lets them go on it.

That's very decent of you to insult a person whose regularly out there in 130+F heat, getting shot up and worrying about IEDs and mortar attacks even when on base, would take a bullet for his buddies, and couldn't even be there for his wife when she was in labor. You're a wonderful example of a human being. Have you even met a grunt before? You can't pay someone enough to go through the physical and mental hardship they endure. Even among other servicemembers, the saying is 'everyone wants to be a grunt without actually being a grunt'.

Sometimes the AC works, and sometimes not. When it breaks, it can take days to fix. You deal with it.

The tank gets up to about 140 degrees in the heat, the trucks do too, unless the AC is on, then they hover around 90. (No AC in the tank) And you'd better not put the windows down (srapnel has a funny way of coming in through open windows.

Nevermind the fact that study after study shows that People who watch Foxnews are the least informed (and are most likely to think that they are well informed).

The BBC really doesn't go in depth enough to get a good bias on US policy/politics.

Thier Worldnews service (the reason I watch CBC/BBC) has a much wider scope than Fox.

Fox Worldnews has the biggest blinders Ever.

As for the Right leaning Fox news, that doesn't bother me. The bias is so blatant than anyone who is not a complete idiot can pick it up.

Personaly, I think it's sad that the state sponsered media services of both Canada and England are much more critcal of thier respective governments than the Corporate run US counterparts.
