Another reason why I hate F1...

Yeah, but you like nasscar, so your opinion on motorsports is null and void.

Eccleston is a toolbox though. But his douchebaggery doesnt really affect my appreciation for F1. usually anyways.

While Danica Patrick may be good, and its great to see women in motorsports (particularly ones that actually LOOK like women), she couldnt cut it in F1 (and that has nothing to do with her being a woman).

Yes, F1 is the most difficult motorsport, which is why Michael Schumacher is the highest paid sportsman in the world (bar Tiger Woods).

Few IRL champions can cut it in F1, unlikely a rookie with actually unremarkable achievements so far could do well - regardless of gender.

Owned. :tickled:

Nah seriously though, I could care less...I hate IRL, I can respect the Indy 500 because it's been around for so long. The rest of the races I have no desire to watch.

Danica Patrick has achieved a great thing, but I really could care less overall...unless she can compete in Formula 1, ALMS, 24 Hours of Le Mans, and whatever else, she means little on the overall spectrum of motorsports.

I do like the line about women being domestic appliances...they need to hike on back to the kitchen and cook my fuckin' dinner.

To be fair to NASCAR though, it is the number one spectator sport in this country.

Too bad the rest of the world doesn't give a shit about it and they prefer real racing. :glee:

I can't watch a second of nascar (I'm not into the culture) but I do appreciate and enjoy formula one a lot. F-1 did a really good job at gaining fans in the US today though :blow_top:

most difficult? dude, try rally racing and tell me that shit aint tough. i've never been so into F1, i mean it's cool and all but i love rallying so much more. blazing around a turn in the dirt then flying up over a hill and watching flames shoot from your exhaust...just so cool.

It's rather amusing. :)

F1's future in the United States is now dead.

I'm sure the NASCAR boys are happy as pigs in shit...they probably figure watching their train wreck of a auto race will draw the F1 fans in.

Eh...NASCAR requires no skill....straight, straight, left left, straight, straight, left left. The object also is not to purposely bang into other cars like what Redneck Dale loved doing....well he got what he deserved. :kekeke: :tickled: :glee:

And this is coming from the guy whose panties were in a buch when people were making jokes about the Pope's death.

And NO, I'm in no way comparing the Pope to Dale Earnhart, but your argument was regardless of our views of the Pope, we should respect the deceased.

Pope Dale Earnhardt forgives all.

Well, I'm just sayin'.

I don't ever remember anyone saying the Pope got was he deserved (even though he actually did deserve to die peacefully at an old age).

He may find it odd that some people really respect a race car driver, but other people also find it odd that some people really respect a guy with a big hat.

Just calling him out on his hypocrisy.

End of argument.

Eh, Red Neck Dale tempted fate one time too many.

All Dale did was teach a new generation that it is OK to drive like a complete jackass.

Well, I was actually at the U.S. Grand Prix and man am I disappointed. This was the first F1 race I ever went to. I'm not sure if I will ever go to another F1 race ever again, muchless watch it on TV.

I don't blame you after this fiasco...it should be interesting to see if they decide to run at Indianapolis next year.

F1 really shot themselves in the foot, it's a shame that they did.

They could always switch to Laguna Seca.

What can I say, other than after hearing that spectators threw trash onto the track, I can now laugh in the face of F1 fans who think that NASCAR is uncivilized and technologically retarded. :buttrock:

Gekiga, you haven't lived until you've been to the night race at Daytona, the Pepsi 400. Night racing, combined with restrictor plates, equals magic at 185 MPH.

I really can't wait to hear what NASCAR personalities have to say over this...
