i just got a japanese copy of Metal Slug 3 for MVS, does anyone elses have a turquoise cart like MOTW? im having a few issues with it, it takes a little bit to work, like i keep trying to insert the cart but keep getting the cross hatch test. i think its because the cart is not in all the way. then i may have some sound issues from time to time, like crackling in the background. i dont believe its a boot because its the orginal label that looks never been toched. and still has the warrenty seal on the side and has never been broken. any ideas?

Did you clean the contacts on the cart? I am guessing that all other games work fine in that slot.

Open the cart and gently rub the contacts on the boards with a pencil eraser.

*Edit* I see the cart is still sealed... If you want to clean them without opening it, I am not sure how, but I am sure that there is a way to do it.

FK..I wrote a Whole bunch of info and the power went out due to a storm..

I personally have never seen a Metal Slug 3 in a turquoise cart like MOTW..

Let me know if you are still having problems after cleaning the carts connectors ands I'll write it up again..(board warping etc)

If you don't want to open the cart..Tape some light grain sand paper to say a ruler and slide it back and forth on the carts connectors..then use a Q-tip and alcohol to remove the dirt.
This will give a golden shine that will give you the best connection with the motherboard.
