PC Help... not really a problem, but I'm wondering why it happened.

When my screen saver goes on, and once I touch the touchpad to make it go off I am now presented with the Windows log in screen... the blue screen where your icon is shown and you click it to log back on.

When the screen saver went off before... it would just go back to where I left off..

Whats going on?

right-click on the desktop (not touching an icon) then go to Properties. Then go to the screensaver tab and see if the passwrd option is checked first.

not sure man. I have seen stranger things happen.

I once saw three male Muscovy ducks gang rape a female wood duck.

Do you have the .net frame work installed? You may have installed it if you updated windows recently. Check under add/remove programs. And look for "Microsoft .Net Framework". Having that installed can make the system act that way.

Probably something with Windows Update - I notice little things like that sometimes when I update. I wouldn't sweat it.

Yuppaz. Windows Update also affects your screensaver sometimes. It changes whatever you had (or if you didn't have one on) to the 'Windows XP' selection.

I experienced this as well after installing an update for the .net framework.

A couple weeks later after I installed another .net update, it reverted back to the prior behavior.

You have no clue how bad I want one...

But I have so much stuff on this PC that it would be senseless...

It took my Dell wiping all of my info to finally free me of the PC. Thankfully I'd backed up all my "My Documents" files onto a separate drive which I simply brought onto the Mac.
