Where do you set which side can start on MVS 6 slot?

Right now I'm thinking I'm dumb...

I cannot find where to set which player can start first...

Both sides will "accept coin", but only player 1 can start? And I can't find it in the test screens... :(

I think I was able to set this before , but can't remember how... :(

I think the cab has to be set on Free play to do this...

I may be wrong....(?)
My cabs are all set on freeplay and I can start from either side..(dip #7)

The only way you can start a game on the player 2 side only is to either have a USA bios or a game and Bios that supports VS-MODE (buts thats a Japanese only Bios). Your best bet is to get a Universe bios (follow link in my sig) as that supports both USA mode and VS-Mode.

Where can I get my hands on a US Bios?

Are the Bios same for all the mobo's? I have 2 non-working MV-1's lying around that's sure to have US Bios'.

I do have Unibios in my own boards ;) Great stuff !

Is there any way to know if a normal BIOS is USA or JAP, without trying it first?

JAPAN bios has japanese test mode menu. EURO bios has only one coin counter on screen (right side). USA bios has 2 coin counters, left and right side.

A bios from a different MVS should work as long as its not faulty. Remember the unibios also as you get many other features too.

Maybe it's a Euro Bios that board has then?

Anyways, I'll try those old board's Bios then...

( I have to ask DA if we have the latest Unibios for our own boards, I can't remember. If not , we'll be ordering the new version ;) )
