MVS screen problem

The monitor has issues that appear to be power related.

The bottom of the screen shrinks, its like the lower 5th of the screen gets squished but the rest of the screen is fine. Sometimes if most of the other electronics in the house are turned off this does not occur.

Has anybody else experianced this? Anybody know of a fix short of replaceing parts?

Your monitor needs a cap kit, the actual cause of the fault described will be a dried out electro cap around the vertical output stage, but you may as well do a full cap kit. your monitor will love you for it

sorry for the noob comment, but what is this cap kit? and where do i get it from?should i even attempt to do this myself or should i find a repair shop to do so?
