I didn't have the will to get fired, so I quit instead, out of pride. It was a details oriented position and my boss felt it didn't suit my personality or greatest strengths.

The thing is, it doesn't really bother me much. In a lot of ways, I think he's spot on. I didn't really care for the job, but more working in a big company and doing day-to-day business activities. It was more the idea rather than the act.

So under the recommendation of my ex-boss, I took one of those Myer-Briggs-Jung tests. Of course I found one online for free at:

http://similarminds.com/embj.html

then I looked up my results on that website, other websites using google, and I found this very useful webpage:

http://www.personalitypage.com/high-level.html (the test was 5, but the results free, you need to use the old noodle sometimes)

Then I got this results list (another source, but it only had results for my type) and IT MADE ME FEEL LIKE A PIECE OF SHIT

Most Popular Occupations for ENFPs
1 Craft artist
2 Actor/performing artist/dancer
3 Photographer
4 Forester
5 Musician, singer, music director, composer
6 Clinical/counseling/educational psychologist
7 Mental health counselor
8 Fitness trainer
9 Bartender
10 Artist/visual artist
11 Hairdresser, cosmetologist, manicurist, skin care specialist
12 Restaurant host/hostess
13 Clergy
14 Travel agent/services
15 Career counselor
16 Vocational rehabilitation counselor
17 Preschool/kindergarten teacher
18 School counselor
19 Landscape architect
20 Producer, director
21 Psychiatric/substance abuse social worker
22 Adult education teacher
23 Receptionist
24 Child care worker

actor, writer, photographer, musician?

For the love of god, why don't they just say, "with your personality type, you'll most likely become a bum for the rest of your life".

anyway, I'd be interested in seeing what you guys turn out to be. It should be noted that I'm almost introverted, but my affection to working in teams and with people directly constitutes the making of an extravert.

I'm a Mastermind Rational (INTJ), which seems to be a fairly reasonable fit for me considering the next step I'm planning to take in my career path.

I wouldn't read into these Keirsey results too much. While they do a decent job at pinpointing your intellectual and emotional characteristics, I'm not a big fan of the way they narrow down occupational fields.

Yay, nother INTJ'er.
I've taken these many times, and I alternate between INTJ and ENTJ.

Just wondering, what career path are you going in?

Back in High School when I first took the test, it said I was an Idealist Champion (ENFP). I changed in my personality and outlook by the time I had gotten out of college. A friend was bugging me about taking the Kiersey test again, and I was surprised to see that I had changed from an ENFP to an INTJ. I guess 6 years will do that to you.

I've taken a test like this before and I was also an INTJ. Well, actually I was an IXXX since my scores were so damn close, but nearly everything describing an INTJ was spot on. However, there is a problem with these tests. You aren't always going to get the same result. The differences may be slight or greatly different depending on a lot of things.

ISTJ - Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging

ISTJs are often called inspectors. They have a keen sense of right and wrong, especially in their area of interest and/or responsibility. They are noted for devotion to duty. Punctuality is a watchword of the ISTJ. The secretary, clerk, or business(wo)man by whom others set their clocks is likely to be an ISTJ.

I had a different experience. Back when I first took these tests and was classified as an ENFP, I decided I didn't really like it so I went back and took the test over a couple times over a period of a few months. I came up with the same result everytime, even with a conscious effort not to try to memorize the questions and my answers.

Anyway, I don't really like these internet profiling tests unless they involve fairies and sad anime girls making snow angels.

Just took that interesting test and answered as accurately as possible... my results were IMO about 96% accurate but there are some instances in life where my reaction could be one way one minute and then be ambivalent the next, which means I don't follow an absolute just because I score a certain way. *Like I don't do drugs of a non pharmacuetical nature, yet it states that "I must be High to be happy?" If they mean high as in an adrenaline rush then yes. Anyhow here's my results:

Perceiving (P) 55.17% Judging (J) 44.83%

This thread would be more interesting if it was setup as a 16 choice public poll.

Yeah, this test said I was an ISTP. The one I took before was on paper and you had to score it yourself. Exept for the I/E comparison, my scores were always either exactly the same or only one or two points off from eachother. I'd probably get a different result each time I take this internet test. I still have the other test laying around somewhere. Maybe I'll take it again to see what it says.
