OK heres the story, a friend of mine just picked up a PalmOne Tungstun. Conected the device to his notebook and it connects and syncs up OK, but when I try to import the contact data from Outlook on the note book (pst files) the Palm doesnt want to see them. Must I convert to some other format first ??
Please dont tell me how shit Outlook is- I know already.
I thought it would be simple to export/import contacts between Palm and XP. It probably is, but Im doing something wrong.

Just sync with Outlook. Install the PalmDesktop software and choose to sync with Outlook instead of palmdesktop. After hotsync is installed you'll have another program called PocketMirror (included in the install). This is a conduit that allows you to choose what you want to sync with the Palm device. IT's that simple, press the sync button and the contacts are transfered over.

Couldnt figure out how to sync to Outlook. Just resorted to the user manual. Heaven Forbid- and it states this.

DOCUMENTS. Synconize MS Word, Excel and PPoint files between your handheld and your computer. Create, view and edit these files on your handheld.

No mention of Outlook or pst files anywhere.

This is a Tungsten E2 model- perhaps it is not able to sync to Outlook ??

Palms do not work within a 50 mile radius of cannibal witchdoctors.

It says so in the manual.

edit: It's because their bad juju interferes with the CPU.

All you need is Pocketmirror from Chapura. There should be a free version available on their site http://www.chapura.com/
