This movie was so bad it was funny. There is actually no plot to speak of. We have a stupid guy whoes father was captured by the Boogeyman. 15 years later this guys mother dies so he goes back to his old house. More people are captured, finally the guy throws a coat and an action figure at the Boogeyman. The boogey retreats our hero says he wont be coming back and the movie is over :kekeke:

I kid you not that is the entire story.

The acting was as bad as the plot, my best friend put it best what acting the main guys just runs around with a stupid look on his face.

The only reason to rent this is to watch the alternate ending. The special effects in this ending are a joke. They superimpose a picture of the hero on a window since they dont have money for a floating arial shot :kekeke:

This movie was absolute shit 1/10

It was clear the director went for the Asian horror type film, he admits to it in the DVD extra.

Anyway I thought it was OK, not something worth watching twice but certainly not the worst film ever, it's not even the worst horror movie ever so yeah.

I thought Barry Watson did a good job. He's pretty underrated.

the title to worst movie ever is already taken: Edward D. Wood Junior's "Plan 9 from Outer Space" Watch Tim Burton's biographical movie on the guy, very interesting...or just go to imdb.com

Plan 9 is famous for being claimed as "worst ever", but in reality, that movie lost the throne years ago. There are plenty of worse movies. Plenty. Hell, at least 50 of the Mystery Science Theater movies were much worse than Plan 9 From Outer Space.

Believe it or not, that's always the first one I think of when I remember that show.

We've (Austin, I mean) got a trio of guys that do the whole MST thing live for movies here. We have these theaters called "Alamo Draft Houses" that are basically a theater that you can have dinner and beer in.

I'm sure they have those types of things in other places, but we have the Sinus Show. It used to be called "Mister Sinus Theater", but they got sued by Best Brains, so they changed it to the Sinus Show. They rock man, I've seen Terminator, Speed, Footloose, Star Wars, and a few others. Star Wars was the best, and even better because it's live, and they sit in the front row, then midway through the movie, they stop it and have a little skit like in the show.

Awesome stuff. I love Austin.

it wasn't that bad, but it was watchable. What pissed me off was how it was rated pg-13 here and when I went to the theatre to see it it was just loaded with stupid high school girls, and everytime something happened they would all scream so loud in unison. it kind of ruined the movie.

I wish I would have come across this yesterday. I wouldn't have rented it.

My thoughts exactly. I expected more from Sam Raimi.....

Total garbage

Raimi was just the producer.

But still... Definately a terrible flick.

Man, the trailer for this looked terrible so I can imagine what the movie would be like.
Didn't know Sam Raimi was a part of it, though. I didn't notice him on IMDB, but I didn't dig too far. A shame, his participation is.

Sinus theatre sounds awesome. You know, if anybody tried that at a real theatre, they'd get booted out. Yet, morons can go in with their cellphones on and talk during the movie or people can throw shit around, etc. and nothing happens.

Oh, and worse movie ever? Hmm, Dee Snider's Strangeland has to be up there. The laptop scene where the mystery is finally solved is god awful.
Invisible Dad (not Ghost Dad) is terrible as well.

edit: much to my chagrin, the same asshole masterminds behind this apparently made a couple of Invisible Mom movies.

I know, but his name was on the film.

You would have thought that he'd intervened once they saw the film going to shit.

I saw the end of strangeland it seemed so random and stupid i never wanted to see the beginning.

Space Mutiny is a pile of garbage but mystery science theater makes it hillarious. Big McLargeHuge

Strangeland is a bad movie, but if you see it from the beginning it makes alot more sense. Alot more. It explains the whole second and third parts of the movie :emb:

Dee Snider should make more movies.

Tara Reid as a brainy scientist? Worst. Casting. Move. EVAH.
Nowhere near the brilliance of Snoop Dogg as Huggy Bear in the Starsky And Hutch movie. :buttrock:

My thoughts exactly... but I made the mistake of renting it from Netflix and sitting through the whole thing. I kept thinking "this has got to get better." But it didn't. It just stayed terrible right up until the absolutely braindead ending.

Script? Bad. Acting? Bad, but not like it matters with a script like that. Wannabe Raimi-style camera zooms? Check, and a total affront to Evil Dead 1 and 2 each and every time.

Agreed- I want my 89 minutes back.
