What are these wires on my 2 slot

This is my 2 slot, Its longer than the one I had before. And the dips are on the front.
Can anyone tell what these wires are? Are they a mod of some sort.
Sorry the pics are a bit crap.

If I had to guess (ann I do!) I'd say they were a repair of some sort, to fix broken traces. It doesn't look like any mod I've seen.

It's a repair job I did (backup&calendar errors).

I'm almost 100% sure that those wires are for repairs... The second picture is a dead giveaway where the short soldered portion is. Whoever made these repairs did a good careful job though, it still looks nice and neat.

Anyone know the difference between this longer version and the short one with the dips on the side.
I like this long one, im going to powder coat the cover in red.
