in IE if you right-click on an image and set it as wallpaper it stores the file on your computer with some name like 'internet wallpaper' .bmp and stores it in /windows or somewhere inside documents and settings...

what i want to know though is, when you set a wallpaper through firefox, where does firefox store the image?

i want to change my desktop but never saved the current desktop image & want to save it.

any help is appreciated. thanks!

Depends on what OS you are using.

The easiest way to find it is to click Start->Find (or search in XP I think it is). Type in FIREFOX WALLPAPER.bmp and have it search the entire hard drive for it.

In XP I think it saves in My Documents\my pictures or whatever. W98 saves it in the Windows directory.
