I'm thinking about going to quiznos.

And then I will look for my sock.

Maybe I can make thread about looking for my socks while eating quizno's.

Or maybe I can just fucking google it.

I know this is late, but yeah.. all you needed to do was get one of those little screwdrivers that you usually get with a new HDD, or CD/DVD drive (they look like pens) and use the flat-head part of it, just put it at the edge of the CPU chip where it meets the Heat-Sink, and turn the screwdriver just a bit lightly, and it will pop off.

I guess the heatsink was doing it's job...

Keep your eyes open in the next month or so, because I'll probably be selling my AMD 64 3200+ processor and motherboard. Either that or an Intel 3.06 P4 and motherboard. :D

wtf u selling those? or u gonna keep one and sell the other?

and how long was the heatsink using the tape/compound? I wonder if running it for an hour or so would of made it easier to take off because of heating it up etc.

Well, right now I'm running the 3200+ 754 setup and I've got my eye set on a X850XTPE PCI-E. Then in a few months I'm buying another X850XTPE for a crossfire setup. My old motherboard that I've been running for about a year died, so I replaced it today with this one. It has a 16x PCI-E port and an AGP port. This was just a temp board until I could find a X850XTPE for a decent price, but now I've sold my 9800 Pro before I could get a PCI-E card and now everything's all screwed up. The spacing of the ram slots from the chip socket doesn't really let itself very well to a water cooling setup which is next on my list...

My thinking is this crossfire'd x850xtpe setup will be bottlenecked by my 3200+ chip, so I think I'll just upgrade to an FX 939.

It really depends on if my brother wants my current AMD setup. If he does, then I'll be selling his 3.06 hyperthreaded Intel chip, motherboard, and ram.

The motherboard died in Feb. and I've just gotten around to fixing it. So it's been bonded for 4 months without use. :kekeke:
