Taken from the KOF Forum and expanded, what are your favorite opening movies of any fighting game, regardless of what company or developer made them? The movies that make you get fired up to press start or the ones that captivate you by the artwork or you just like'em because they look cool and it has grabbed your attention.
SFA2--Aside from being one of my fav SFs, the guitar riffs sound good to me and I dig that column of characters and Dan's kick through concrete or stone or whatever the hell it is.
SF3:2I--"You Can't Escape".....From Alex's bg in SF3 to the rooftop, I definitely enjoy the anticipation of seeing Hugo and Alex sizing each other up while showing other sprites in action.
SF3:3S--Of course you have the hand-drawn folks in various colors mixed w/ the hip-hop and the erractic display of screens and Gill's pic make the movie very nice to watch.
KOF '96-- Pretty damn good w/ the ending being the logo flying over red clouds.
KOF '97--A lot of great artwork and Shingo's flashes being my top pick of this particular movie.
MKII--The stills are nostalgic at this time and the music short but powerful. Shao Kahn's mountain made me feel like I was starstrucked when it first came out.
FF3--Geese planting his feet on his desk was enough to get me to play.
SS--Trees never got it so badly.
SS2--Lots of bright colors and the music was excellent.
Tekken 3--The one w/ all the characters, not just Jin.
Tekken 4--The game was meh, but Kazuya taking donw all those guards was alright.
VF2 and VF3--Great Music, period.
X-Men:COTA--I probably like this one more than any of the other Marvel fighters due to the music and the scene w/ all the fighters coming out from the sides one by one.
Martial Champions--Don't remember much about it but it's a little-known in FL/GA that I enjoyed watching as much as I did playing.
That's mine, alright. What about you?
