I lost my phone the other day and I need to get another one. I have been wanting to upgrade anyway. My question is, can I buy any kind of phone and have my provider set it up for me, or do I have to buy it where I originally set it up? I go through Verizon, so I know I can only buy phones they support, but the place I got my phone had a very limited selection (I live in a fairly small town).
Also, can you just buy a phone online and have your service set it up? I was looking at some Sony Ericson phones but I don't know where I'd be able to buy them.
