Had to vent...

started so strong, throwback to I Spit On Your Grave type films, very scary and very bloody... Then someone decided to take a big shit on the screen and ruin it with that fucking awful ending. I don't care if this film is a few years old. If I never see a "pull the rug out" ending again in my entire life I will be just fine. Pissed me off so much, could've been great, instead it just pissed me off.

edit: typos

Was the dubbing very noticeable?

I actually loved this movie just saw it Saturday. I dont know what pull out the rug ending you are refering too though. I thought it was pretty obvious, I was pretty sure what the ending was when we see her in the opening scenes in the hospital chanting no one will come between us. I was completly sure at the the point she was on the swing set and then poof she is gone.

It was very suspensful none the less though. I was on the edge of my seat to see how they would take it. The dub was pretty good but they should have just kept the original audio

I though the acting was good and the direction was excellent. The only things I would have changed

Spoilers!?

Her 5 minute scene on the bed, I would just get rid of that it was stupid
I would have showed the video tape of her killing the guy in the station after she goes to get her friend out of the truck and the friend tried to stab her. Cause if you didnt know she was the killer all along you would be like why the hell is her friend stabbing her :)

Only first half was dubbed, then for the most part subtitled...but yes, noticeable.

As far as the ending goes...it was obvious in retrospect for me [hence the bed scene kinda being vital to add to her psycho-sexual "snapping"] but I would've really loved it had it been straight up revenge/horror/slasher with a strong female lead [that wasn't a wuss, crazy, or a lesbian] Not to mention the truck driver murderer was damn creepy and deserved to be a real character. Plus you REALLY have to suspend your disbelief for the movie to make one bit of sense. I realize a lot of it was in her head and the movie was told from her perspective, but it ends up confusing in my opinion.

Example:

-Killer "getting head" while they are on the road.
-Both girls in back of truck while its moving.
-shop clerk talking to 2 different people
-stolen car, wrecking and causing her injury
-Divisive "book ending" of the narrative to throw off the viewer...retarded.

Just stupid

Could've been badass though.

all good points but since I knew most of teh scenes were in her head I kind of just checked logic at the door. I liked how you could look back and point out all of the places were it made sense they were the same person.

Examples

She new Alex's name
The mother looks at her why me?
Alex was freaking out when she first tried to save her in the bedroom.
The killer always missed Marie

As far the car accident I dont think she really had that arm injury when you see the hospital scenes she did not have a giant arm gash

And this is probably just me but I thought the decapitated bj girl was her friend. I thought it was her dreaming about it. Probably not but thats what I thought.
