Walking to the store today my co-worker screamed for me to hurry in. She kept saying "go look at the monitor! Go look!"

"Alright alright!" I walked into the backroom thinking "Whatsup?"

I looked at the monitor...

And froze.

WHOA.

there, on one of the screens, was a long-haired girl. Clear as day. You couldn't see her face, just the top of her head with a hairpin. The angle the camera caught her was just very awkward and eerie.

I walked out and my co-worker went into a frenzy. "Is that what we think it is?"

"We?"

"Yeah, the two girls who worked here last night caught her on the screen as they were closing, and they ran outta the store."

"Well... it's clearly a girl... but there's something about her that seems... inhuman. It just gave me a very creepy feeling...."

Then she got an idea.

"Steve! Walk by and I'll wait in the back. I'll let you know if I see you. Maybe the screen is frozen."

She went to the back.

I walked across.

And... I appeared on screen... the girl... vanished.

*shudders*

'scuse my language but that was fucking creepy.

Mark of the Wolves, it's all true.

At 2 PM the other 2 girl employees came in. And one of them was clearly in shock... she cried coz of what she saw last night. It was surreal. I got one serious chill down my spine when I spotted the monitor. That wasn't right.... that wasn't right. It was VERY eerie.

Interesting day at work fo sho...

Steve, I know that feeling all too well. When I was about 17/18 I was tying my shoelace while sitting on the edge of my bed when I suddenly felt the weight of the bed shift, as though something that was on it was lifted up. I quickly turned and saw someone leave my bedroom by walking through the wall. Needless to say, I was mind fucked for days and it took me weeks to sleep in that bedroom again. That feeling of fear and awe is something that I don't I'll ever experience again. And I hope that I don't have to.

You realize that there is no such thing as ghosts right? And that if there were, it would be the single greatest scientific/metaphysical discovery ever? And that if there were even an inkling of compelling empirical evidence for their existence, it would be one of the largest and most vibrant fields of science? Right? Right?

Dark Andy let's just say a retail store.

Jay, wow. That's a TON more intense than my experience.

Wookie, I believe in spirits. Those who died in extreme agony or horrible tragedy... I believe they wander the earth. They just don't let themselves be seen most of the times...

The world is just too big and fascinating to rule out that spirits DON'T exist. We're not talking about some freaking Loch Ness Monster, we're talking about the afterlife... a realm most of us know shit about. So IMHO, we can't rule out that they're not out there.

someone has watched JuOn once too many times.

I love to watch my horror movies too but there's no such thing as ghosts.

:spock:

And I'll believe in this kind of shit when I see it myself, god knows our minds can easily play tricks on us. The idea of spirits/souls/ghosts/whatever floating around us seems ridiculous to me though.

We've barely explored our oceans...

EDIT: Hahaha. Didn't think of the movie. I was gonna tie my post in with a story about how my mommy caught me masturbating.

Exactly, because if the supernatural did exist it would follow all of the rules of Western culture and Aermican horror movies.

Oh and neo>all: nice work on the ghostbusters pic.

mmmmmmhhhhhhh........

I don't know. I don't adhere to your theory about the afterlife being the great unknown. but I do believe you because you don't strike me as someone who would lie. that doesn't mean I believe that what you saw was necessarily a spirit (I don't know if I believ ghosts are bodyless spirits. maybe).

one important question is - if the camera was operating, there must be a tape of this event right? and one of the previous night when the other workers saw it? right?

The image was discovered roughly 9:20 PM Saturday night. After the 2 girls saw it they ran outta the store in fear, and locked it up.

My other girl coworker opened today, as did I, but she came earlier than I did. When she got there, the other employee called her to tell her to look at the monitor. She did, saw the figure, and waited for me to arrive.

Basically, it wasn't there at 9:00 Saturday night. We closed the shop then.

At 9:20... after the gate was shut, it appeared when no one else could have entered the store
