You hear this first here!

Shinkiro and Ikeno will be attending San Diego Comic Con this year, and will not be in hiding mode like Kinu and Shoei last year but will be signing at the UDON booth. We will be offering a limited edition hard cover edition of SF Eternal Challenge at the con, featuring brand new cover art by Shinkiro and Ikeno (limited to 500 copies each, limited to 100 copies each per day).

We will also be offering a SHIN AKUMA Bust, limited to 500, 100 per day.

We should have a handful of back issues, prints and poster available at the booth too. You will also be able to pick up the Exalted #0 as well!

UDON creators attending includes Alvin Lee, Ken Siu-Chong, Omar Dogan, Noi Sackda, Jim Zubkavich, and myself (maybe more, yet to confirm).

Come and visit us if you can!

He hasn't been listed on the Comic Con's website Special Guest section...yet...

I was up un the air about going this year, but if he definitely goes, so will I.

Well, the Comic-Con will supposedly run between the 14th and the 17th of July.

Spending over $200 on flight arrangements alone to get Shinkiro's autograph is a little crazy to say the least, but if someone plans on going there and is kind enough to get me one, then I'd be eternally grateful.

Damn, too bad there's the pond between me and San Diego... as a big fan of his work, I'd love to meet Shinkiro in person.

I mean... after some years of Shinkiro-less SNKP, I almost forgot what his design means to me when I saw his artwork for CFJ... it almost was like meeting a long-lost friend.

Man, how I wish he had done the KoF2k1 artwork, this could have been big, really big... or SvC... alas, they chose this freak who took the money and drew a bunch of mutated anime-ish monsters and called it "character artwork"... ah well. Tastes are tastes, thank g.o.d. for that.

Seems like the Udon booth's going to be the place to be this year, I wonder if Lesean is going to be there as well

Any chance anyone who goes will but up some Udon/Shinkiro swag?

The link to the bigger image of the Shinkiro cover is screwed up in the link I posted, so here is the cover in it's higher res glory:

Is it just me or does the cover have different Shinkiro styles? Ryu looks like pre-'99 artwork; Dhalsim, Honda and Guile look like '99-'00 stuff; Chun Li, Ken and Zangief look like post-SNK work and Blanka is CFJ/CFE work. It sucks that this is taking place in San Diego though, with me being in the other side of the country and all.
