I have filed a report with Squaretrade to get it removed...

My question to you guys...

Should I just take the negative and leave a response under it, or pay Squaretrade $29.95 to investigate the case (which I already did, but can cancel)?

Its for that Spikeout that he won but never paid for, then he went ahead and bought one from someone else, never paid them and finally found the cheapest one and paid for it.

I waited 2 months then left him a negative...

He says I harassed him which is complete bullshit, I called him and got no answer... so if thats what his version of harassment is then he is really thin-skinned...

What should I do?

I highly doubt your neg will go away.
Squaretrade people are pretty much useless. You should just leave it
as it is.

The joys of eBay. I have a bunch of stuff to sell, but really can't motivate myself to list on there. Too many assholes and the fees suck ass.

I have two negative feedbacks on eBay, both were in retaliation for negatives that I left others, each time with good reason. First time was for a game that was listed as 'mint', yet arrived in very poor condition; I had to buy another copy and sell the crappy one at a loss. Second time was for a product I never received; It was investigated by eBay, and I was reimbursed by their insurance, but that didn't stop the culprit leaving me negative feedback.

He says I overcharged him for shipping, but he never made any contact until he left the negative... its my auction and $25 is about right for EMS to Canada.

He should have read the description...

This is fucked up...

Ebay should really fix that.

This is just one of the many problems I have with Ebay. I would just respond to the negative. When I look at someones negatives I see what the response was.
If you keep it professional and short, most people will know that the guy screwed you.

I love how feedback can be held hostage.

This is why I'm very afraid to sell on ebay. There are far too many pieces of shit that take advantage of the system.

Please someone buy my 9800 pro video card in everything else!

Forum sales > EBay sales anymore. I personally still can't believe that a formidable rival to EBay hasn't yet spawned...this is a situation really ripe for some entrepreneur to take advantage of...there's so much widespread unrest about EBay and their lame feedback system and high fees. If I had some venture captial and a crew of webmasters, it'd be on like Donkey Kong.

I wouldnt worry about the feedback mate, you only have to look at his last 3 feedbacks to see he "bought" the same item 3times and got 2 negs for not paying on 2 of them - so its pretty clear to see who's the asshole :D

Cancel it, and leave a response. I always read the responses to Negatives, and if it makes reasonable sense, I give him the benefit of the doubt (to a point - more than two negatives and I get suspicious).

$25 to ship a dvd to canada?

i thought since you like paypal right after auction ends you would do that "paypal required to bid" thing where they have to send the paypal payment in order to end the auction. that would make the most sense.

sucks about te negative. Ive been lucky in 5+ years and 90 transactions never to sell or buy from a faggot. well there was one VERY early in my ebay life maybe one of my first deals where I bought a refurb sony 17" trinitron monitor and it didnt work. sent it back $25 shipping got another with baaaaad burn in. called the guy talked to his wife seems his "business" is in his garage sent the monitor back and he returned it saying I didnt have permission to send it back. in my brazen youth I gave him a negative cussing him out and that was that. dunno if he already gave me positive but I never got a negative in return. that pos monitor still sits in my garage, but at least I got to see the muddy colors a trinitron produces so I went with viewsonic. :buttrock:

Everybody gets a negative eventually. Don't sweat it. You only need like 98% or something to be a Power Seller, so its clear eBay even realizes its not realistic to expect 100%.

When I got a retaliation negative I had eBay remove it for me. Took just a couple of days.

I didn't even know they could do that. I'll have to look into it.

I think you get 90 days to leave feedback. In the future you should wait until the 89th day if you're planning to leave a negative. This will give yourself a lesser chance of getting a retaliate negative.

That really sucks, especially given your stellar feedback rating.

I'd just take the negative and count it as spilt milk. You shouldn't waste any more money on this, and I don't think people will judge you by this one transaction since your response seems reasonable enough.

Sorry to hear about that Mike, overall I don't think its worth the $30 to try and get it removed when its a lot easier for you to put a response to the f/back so othyer people can see the reason why he gave you the neg.

I have a neg from a US seller whom I bought a snes deck from a few years back.I paid him straight away and for the amount he said the total was.A day or so l8r he said that it was more to ship and so I needed to pay an extra $10 to cover it.

6 weeks and still nothing arrived. So I kept emailing asking and asking where it was,a few weeks later he deigned to reply to me and said that the item had been sent straight away.I said that nothing had arrived and could he look into it,I then heard nothing and decided I'd had enough and neg'ed him and then to my disgust the spunk-sucking tossbag neg'ed me in tit-for-tat fashion. And I still never recieved my snes.

I complained to ebay and they said that I could make a claim if I wished. There wasn't any point as the policy states that you don't get the first £20 of any claim back(if you claim for £100 you will only get £80 and postage paid isnt taken into consideration). The snes worked out at about £15 so would have made a claim for no reason so I didn't bother.

I think he just pocketed the money and sold the snes to someone else as he was just the most unhelpful couldn't give a shit tossbag I have ever dealt with.Thank feck that all the other US sellers have been much more reliable and have come thru if there was any problems

If I didn't know you from Adam and I wanted to buy an item you were selling, Tonk, I'd look at that negative, laugh at it, and bid with full confidence that you are a de jure 100% seller if not de facto. When a seller has a few negatives that clearly show that the buyer didn't follow auction parameters or had some bizarre expectations that were never even hinted at, I pay no heed at all and assume the seller will be spot-on.

A neg like that means nothing compared to one that says "didn't ship item" or "item listed as new but badly damaged" or something like that.

I know it's a bummer to lose that perfect 100%, but I'd probably just leave your response as is and assume any buyer with a brain will have no problem bidding on your items in the future.

Still sucks, though.

Come on! A Neg is always a Neg.

I've put a really big effort on my feedback to keep it 100% clean.

Sometimes you have to "pick" just a lot of decent sellers or possibly buyers in order to guarantee you'll not be fucked up.

I just gave a Neg once. Thank God the guy got my money and left a positive way before. Still, he hasn't shipped my Robo Army tho. thus why he took his NEG.

Tonk, if you can, try to do whatever needed to remove that dirt shit of your feedback. I'd do it.

Good on ya. Just sell it at sites of interest. this ebay shit is retarded, everything is a gamble because someone can leave a neg feedback thats not even a real one and get away with it.

My ebay account I share with another person, the feedback is perfect, but after that 60$ theft photoshop cdr issue, then my mother getting some iron on pillow case print, I wanna just strangle the hell out of the immoral assholes that pull this shit.

Dean, you're best bet is to stay the fuck away, you would probably be okay, but at the same time theres alot of fucking scams left and right. It just rubs me really wrong that someone can leave me a negative when they cheated me, and someone capable of that to begin with will cheat there way around anything.
I read a Billkwando post that said something similar about Dion on some old logs and I totally agree with it.

The worst crime committed is late payment on stuff and I still feel kinda shit about those incidents, its just when you buy a photoshop behind a professional listing and then you get a fucking cdr, totally eliminating the purpose of buying legit to begin with, leaves you at square #1 again.

I couldnt even leave a negative on that shit anyway since the dude was unregistered when we tried.
Its like a fucking scam, and ebay doesnt stand behind there own business, so when you get screwed, you really get fucking screwed.
