"If you have ever downloaded a DVD from the internet in DVD9 format and wished you could have grabbed a smaller file, well now you can with the invention of RAT DVD. This allows you to compress 1 full DVD9 or smaller down to 1 gig or less without losing anything, perfect for posting to newsgroups. You can reinflate it to the full size when you burn it back to DVD, or simply view it with most media players in it's compressed format. What a great idea.

EDIT: You will need a lot of time to do this, about 10 hrs for a DVD9 is my best guess."

Pretty sweet. I have been planning to build a virtual dvd server for a while now, but the cost of the terabytes needed would be insane (well up until lately). Depending on how the video looks stretched out on a big screen this may be the solution...Have you used this? Too bad it doesn't decrypt, but that's ok.
