I purchased a Turbo Duo from externalsermon on ebay on May 23 and I still dont have my item. He waited a week to supposedly ship it but I am getting nervous. He had low feedback and when I checked the last three are the only recent ones and they were posters he bought for a couple of bucks.I wish I realized this before hand. This seems to be a scam now. I just sent himan emailasking what the hell is going on. If he dosnt get back to me in the near future I think I will file a paypal claim. Is this the right coa? What should I do I dont want to be out 130.

NEW UPDATE

The seller got back to me and told me he would give me a full refund. Before I boxed it back up for shipping I tried using a different AC adapter (On my mothers suggestion :) ) And it actually worked the unit powered up and played fine. I am so happy now. I just sent the seller an email letting him know everything worked out.

So while it took a while and it scared me for a few days this deal worked on in the end. Thank you to everyone who posted and a special thanks to BV for his pms :)

Update after waiting 3 weeks for my turbo duo it arrived today dead. It does absolutely fucking nothing. It wont even power on :( In the auction the guy said no insurance but he shipped it with insurance so hopefully I can get my money back. I am thinking he knew it was broken and figured he would get a 130 for his broken duo and screw me since I can just wait 2 months for the fucking post office claim to go through.

This is grade A bullshit :very_ang: :annoyed: :very_ang:

I know there is someone on these boards that works for the Post Office, so he would know for sure.

But...I don't think the Post Office will do anything for you unless the damage occured during the shipping process. (Ripped open box ect) They will not cover it if it was poorly packed or already broken.

I would send it back to the guy who sold it to you and get a refund.

I was thinking that but last year I recieved a broken 3do from ebay and the seller got me a full refund from the post office. I was hoping it would happen again. If this guy can not get me a refund I will file a paypal complaint.

oh no.. you'll be waiting longer than 2 months :) not to depress you... it took me around 1 year and 4-5 months to get mine :)
That was International though.

it sucks being out product and cash, eh? ;)

I know how that feels.

Hopefully you don't have to wait too long for a refund

GET A FULL refund from the seller.
You get your money upfront and let him deal with the Post Office.
If he refuses to give you your money, file the PayPal claim ASAP.
PayPal only allows you 30 days to file a claim so I would get right on it if I were you.

Was all the other stuff listed in the auction included? And it was a Duo-R as pictured?

As a rule, I only bid on stuff that has pictures of all of the items shown, not a stock photo. And that $120 BuyItNow is too good to be true.

Sucks that you got screwed on this. One ray of hope is perhaps I might be able to repair it. Does it power up at all? Nothing whatsoever?

Thanks for all the replies guys. I will ask for a full refund and if he says no payapl comlpaint.

@D-lite It does absolutely nothing no power up or anything. At first I thought I was missing an on switch on the back or somehting. It came with everything he said the duo-r, two controllers and two burned games.

After waiting so long for it I was excited when the box finally came then horrifed to see it was a complete waste.

I never bid on low feedback guys and now that I did I get burnt :crying:

@Blue (it sucks being out product and cash, eh? )

I never made light of your situtation with SFJ. I am sorry if I came off as insensitive to your situation in that thread. I feel bad for anyone who is screwed. I just said I never had a problem with them personaly and was just giving my experience. My other comments in that thread were obviously pointed towards furious anger who I felt was being unreasonable. Again sorry if you took my comments the wrong way in that thread. I meant no ill will towards you or anyone else was done wrong. You seemed like an honest guy from thread and would have no hesitation of ever doing business with you.
