I have several of these laying around. Any fun things I can do with them besides making them into speakers?

Put DOS on one of them. That way you can just run all your dos games and stuff on that.

But you probably already have that. I dunno, back up important stuff?

That would be an expression of the profound angst he does not have.

only when you've lost everything, can you find the means to an end and a reason to destroy another

there is something profound about losing your composure

At least, that what I intend to find out

sorry, it's just the way you put it.

It reminded me of the Brian Banner speech right before the giant fight and he became absorbing man.

Somewhere I remember seeing a HUGE hard drive platter being used as a coffee table. I'm talking 4-5ft in diameter. It was fucking pimp!

Take a few of them apart, the platters are really cool and super shiny. If anything you'll have one blinged out set of coasters.

Shove them up your ass. That's always a popular option.

Take your 1GB Hard drives, take chlorine tablets and rubbing alcohol and put into a pressurized container like 20 oz bottle, and which the stuff in the container turn into a highly unstable explosive, and use to blow them up. Just a fun suggestion on a bored day.

Sharpen them, and turn them into shuriken.

Shuriken is the Japanese word for "throwing star".

The Japanese characters for shuriken 手裏剣 mean:

shu 手 'sharpened'

ri 裏 'flying'

ken 剣 'hard drive'

1 GB is a bit small.

But you can use a 4-6 gb hd with thrift store/dumpster diving parts to make:

MP3 Machine for a car
MP3/Video Machine for a Home Entertainment system
Mame MB for a Cab/TV

Or use it with a USB HardDrive kit.

Another thing to do is put different OS's on all of your small HD's. Then get a switcher. So you could boot your PC to Dos, Linux, Win 98, Win XP by changing the boot HD. Use your regular Hard drive as a secondary drive.

Yes! Take them apart. Make windchimes with the HD platters. Seriously... the material they are composed of has the capability of "dinging" very loudly and for long time.

Also, remove the pair of neodymium magnets from each HD. Anyone who has ever done this will tell you that these magnets are probably the strongest you'll ever get to play with without spending a bundle. Be careful, they will pinch your fingers if you get them between them. Also, they will break very easily if snapped together.

Yar, i checked the site last night. Is this the real deal holyfield or is it bullshit?. I guess i'd just like to know the science behind how this is working. I know all a speaker is something that essentially vibrates, but is the drive head really vibrating, looks like its just moving back and forth to me.
