I could be mistaken, but I recall hearing that the boxset of Episodes 4-6 were somewhat rushed and didn't include things that Lucas was saving for a future DVD release. Something about missing scenes and what not. So it's possible that a 1-6 boxset may come out, and then sometime later another boxset will come out with newer versions of the OT.

I knew I didn't buy IV-VI on DVD for a reason. I'm guessing this is it.

Yeah, I've been holding out for a 6-disc set, as I'm sure many others have. I'll probably break down and take the plunge, even though I'm really not all that keen on what Lucas has done with episodes IV-VI.

Too bad it's not a Criterion Collection. Maybe I've just bought into the hype, but I always feel they do the best job overall.

My prediction:

AotC will burn a hole through the shelf of any self respecting DVD owner. A massive recall will have to happen, in order to prevent 90% of Geek houses in North America from bursting into flames.

Don't waste your money on suck unless you wanna get burned :) .

That, and you'll inevitably say "why oh why didn't I wait for the HD DVD version?" that will inevitably come out in 2 years time.

Its your money, but i've stopped buying many DVD's years ago :)

And that is one of the best investments that you will ever make. I own both the original THX and special editions on LD.

I'll *cough* buy *cough* Episode 3 by itself, but I'm waiting for the HD versions and dammit those better not be downgraded!

And don't forget, he'll eventually be releasing the 3D version that is due to hit theaters in a couple years.

I'll have to see whats included here, but I'll probably just pick up Episode 3. To be fair to Lucas, he did say even before the DVD of Phantom Menace came out, that he wanted to release a box with all 6 in 2005. Not that I could have waited.

IT's all a waste.

I'm the only person I know that saw jedi back in the eighties.

I saw Jedi in 83 too. I had to 'settle' for it, because Superman III was sold out.

Man was that ever lucky.

This is gonna put the LOTR DVD marketing thing to shame.

We will see so many versions of the SW 1-6 sets, it isn't funny. The marketing potential is nearly limitless, and Lucas knows it.

Only buy what you really want; because these noodles want every stinkin dollar you got.

LOTR DVDs aren't that bad. The theatrical versions are fine and the extras weren't overlapped in the extended versions. Plus, they did alot of work to integrate the extra scenes for the extended versions and fans love them, while non-fans don't have to sit through a longer trilogy if they want the theatrical releases. It is a win-win situation (as opposed to SW where you cannot get the original cut even if you want to, at least on DVD).

Attack of the Clones is a much better movie than the Phantom Menace.

If any of said movies were to burn a hole in a DVD owner's shelf it would be the Phantom Menace. Massive anticipation that was rewarded with a 2 1/2 hour suckfest of epic proportions. It's sad when the Maul duel at the end is the best part of the movie and it is the sole reason for even watching the movie.

AOTC started off rather lame, but it overall was much more watchable than the Phantom Menace was.

Huh, George Lucas whoring out his dead franchise? Ya don't say. :kekeke:

I'd do it if I was Lucas.

Considering just on Episodes 1 & 2 he milked the general public for nearly $1 billion at the end of it, he's a pretty smart guy.

People will constantly bitch and moan about the movies, yet they will still pay the money to go see them.

I didn't see the Episodes 1 & 2 in the theaters, and I probably won't bother seeing the third one even though everyone has told me it is much better than the other two were.

Off topic, but ~lol @ a bolling ball named "Ravage". What the hell... Maybe he has a ping-pong paddle named "Destructor". If I had a bowling ball named Ravage, I wouldn't admit it in a million years. I sure as hell wouldn't advertise it.

Don't kid yourselves; Episode II was bogged down by political hyperbole and rendered nearly unwatchable. I'd rather watch a 2 hour pod race than see that again.

I've held out for a 1-6 box set myself ever since the beginning.

Yeah, I personally like Episode I more than Episode II. Darth Maul is cool as well.

Since you know nothing about bowling in general, allow me to educate you.

There are different bowling ball manufacturers out there. Among these, some of the different companies would be Brunswick (Yes, the Brunswick that makes pool tables), Columbia 300, Ebonite, Hammer, Storm, Track, MoRich, and Lane #1. Those are the main ones.

They release various bowling balls each year, and these balls have names.

It's no different from golf where companies like Titleist, Taylor Made, Callaway, and etc name their various clubs. They tend to name their equipment with more technical sounding names because people tend to think that if it sounds high tech, then it must be high tech. Example: Callaway X-16 Titanium Irons. You hear X-16 and think to yourself, "Wow this must be something amazing, I need this." Provided of course if you play golf.

Bowling ball companies tend to name their equipment nowadays with what they consider "catchy" names.

For example, the ball that you state in your original post, that you would never admit to owning in a million years won Danny Wiseman $100,000 for that tournament. MoRich is the company, and that particular ball was named the Ravage.

Of course you should also know that if you go bowling and see an average person shoot a game with a score of 225 for example. Then you happen to see the PBA Tour on ESPN, and you see a pro bowl a 200, it does not mean that the bowler that you saw shoot the 225 is better than said pro bowler. There are many variables that the general public is not aware of. The oil on lanes is something most people are not aware of. It cannot be seen so people really have very little idea of what kind of factor it can play. But the most obvious is that if they are on TV and the average person is not, there is a pretty good reason.

Please do yourself a favor and don't waste your time posting anything when it is quite clear that you have very little going for you upstairs in your head.
